'Teen Mom' alum Farrah Abraham says show lost credibility as ego came into play

Farrah Abraham became a household name when she appeared on 'Teen Mom.' The reality star says the show doesn't inspire her anymore.

Farrah Abraham made a name for herself after she appeared on 'Teen Mom.' However, the reality star decided to walk out of the show and even filed a lawsuit against MTV as she stated that they had unlawfully terminated her contract. Abraham had previously filed a $5 million lawsuit but later dropped the charges after they agreed on a settlement. Recently, Abraham appeared on Jonathan Cheban's Foodgod: OMFG podcast, and spoke about her time on 'Teen Mom'.  Cheban noted that despite filing a lawsuit against MTV she was later cast for other shows from the network.

Abraham noted that it was because she worked to get recognized and earn money. "MTV is never going to get enough of me. I am the hardest worker. If I make money, I will make you all more money", she said. The reality star also reflected on her decision to walk out of the show. Noting that it had been two years since she left the show, Abraham acknowledged that it had been a crazy two years.

However, when asked if she knew what was happening in the show, Abraham noted that she didn't watch the show anymore. "I really needed a break from Teen Mom, it is where everyone knows I am from. I just needed to go be me", she noted.

Abraham noted that one of the main reasons for her to make the decision of walking out of the show was because of disagreements that people had with each other. "I don't like TV shows where ego comes or people say this show belongs to you because of me or that you owe me things or I made you", she said.

She further added, "I don't like arguing about these things and it's like I don't care." Abraham noted that the show isn't the same anymore. "I need to keep moving and when I look back, I am like, watching the show that is on now and the ratings has tanked. This doesn't inspire me", she said. Abraham noted that the show does not evolve like it used to before.

"I wasn't inspired by it so I didn't watch it and I think that's why the ratings went bad. The credibility went out of the window but they had super fans of Teen Mom", she said. While Abraham is not on the show, she noted that fellow 'Teen Mom,' Jenelle Evans had called her for legal advice after she was asked to leave the show.
