Is Ted Cruz's daughter gay? Caroline reveals her sexuality, disses dad in viral TikTok video

In a TikTok video, Caroline Cruz shared about the pros and cons of being a senator's daughter with her followers and now her account goes private

Republican US Senator, Ted Cruz has found himself in a predicament after his outspoken teenage daughter's TikTok video went viral. During a recent interactive session with her followers on TikTok, Caroline Cruz, answered several questions about the pros and cons of being related to the well-known politician. 

The 13-year-old revealed that although she likes traveling, receiving candies and gifts from her dad's supporters, she dislikes two security guards who follow her literally everywhere she goes - around her neighborhood and even to her friend's home.

Further, when followers of Caroline Cruz asked her if she agrees with her father Ted Cruz's views, she said, "A lot of people judge me based upon him at first glance, but I really disagree with most of his views." 

Caroline, however, didn't elaborate on which of his views she disagreed with but she did mention that for recent Christmas card, featuring Senator's entire family, they elongated her crop top sweater so it wouldn't show off her mid-section. One Twitter user shared Caroline's video where she talked about editing her crop top. 

Another follower asked Caroline who self-identified herself as bisexual in her TikTok bio, if her father knew about it or not. Caroline responded to the question by saying, “I haven’t told him yet, I’m kind of nervous to, to be honest, but I don’t think he would be mad about it."

A Twitter user tweeted, "Ted Cruz' daughter wants to come out, but also is being led astray by the entertainment industry and social media algorithms. Somebody sent me this, apparently it's all the rage in left wing circles right now." The twitter user also shared the screenshots of Caroline's TikTok bio. 

Caroline’s account became private just hours after she revealed that she was bisexual in her TikTok video. 

Texas Monthly magazine recently named Ted Cruz as the first runner-up for its annual Bum Steer Award for “worst Texan.” He received this dubious honor after he fled Texas for sunny Cancun during winter storms while millions have struggled with lack of electricity and water. Cruz defended his trip by saying that he only went to drop his daughters off and return the next day.

The Republican, Cruz is also known for his infamous fight with Sesame Street's Big Bird after the muppet encouraged kids to get vaccinated. Kids who don't get vaccinated are at a greater risk of infecting older and immuno-compromised adults and dying from Covid-19. Cruz is also anti-LGBTQ and has even mocked his fellow Republicans for participating in Pride parades. He has suggested that people should defy Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage. 
 
In a video that has gone viral, Caroline Cruz also disgustedly flinched from her father's hug while out on the 2016 presidential campaign trail. One user on Twitter shared the video and captioned it, "Ow Ow Ow!" - #TedCruz tries to get a hug from his daughter on campaign trail."

This is not the first time, where children opposed their well-known parents publicly. Ron, former President Ronald Reagan's son, said he often disagreed with his father. Claudia Conway, daughter of Kellyanne Conway, one of the main advisers of former president, Donald Trump, caused troubles for her parents after she posted videos professing her dislike for Trump on TikTok.
