Taylor Swift's songs and their significance

‘Cornelia Street’ with its sweet commemorative lyrics alludes to the NYC residence the former lovebirds shared at one point of their relationship. "And I hope I never lose you, hope it never ends / I'd never walk Cornelia Street again / That's the kind of heartbreak time could never mend,” the lyrics of the song read.

In August 2019, Swift hinted at her romance with Alwyn in the smash-hit ‘Lover’ where she sings, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, but I want ’em all,” hinting at the length of their relationship.

In the 2020 song, ‘The 1’, Swift sings about heartbreak when she sings, “I guess you never know, never know / And it's another day waking up alone,” the lyrics probably resonated with the fans.

In 2020, Alwyn, under the pseudonym of William Bovery, co-wrote songs on ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’, on the tracks ‘Exile’, ‘Betty’, and ‘Champagne Problems’, among others.

'That hits different now!'

"I hope Taylor is ok. A lot of the lover album is about her being afraid of losing Joe. Whether or not the breakup was amicable, it was a 6 year long relationship. I thought she seemed so cheery during the tour, almost too cheery. Maybe she was trying her best to mask her emotions. Idk, I just can't help but think of the multitude of songs where she says she doesn't know what she's do without him," wrote a fan below the official audio of 'Cornelia Street' on YouTube. Another wrote, ""That's the kind of heartbreak time could never mend" that hits different now!"

"This song is now the saddest song of all time," a fan wrote under 'King of My Heart'. "This song is devastatingly beautiful and I never thought it would tell Taylor and Joe's story at some point. I'm still processing the news," a fan commented on 'Happiness'.

"I heard the rumors and I saw her tearing up while singing this song and I'm back here crying my hearts out," a fan wrote under 'Champagne Problems'. "It’s slowly sinking in that they’re really over…," another wrote while another Swiftie chimed in, "I'm watching this after hearing about breakup news . I was literally feeling shedding tears when I listen this song."

While listening to 'Sweet Nothing' a fan wroite, "Tried to be little strong for last few hours but this song making me sobbing while tears falls down on my cheeks. sweet nothing feel so much of home. used to have a mind dreams while listening to this masterpiece. but the music , lyrics , taylors voice speak like a tragically written winter movie." Another Swiftie wrote, "I REFUSE to believe that the relationship that this song was about has just "run its course.""
