Fans ask Taylor Swift to 'start a Ticketmaster competitor’ as they couldn't get tickets after hours-long wait

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift is gearing up for the Eras tour and the sale of tickets took place on Tuesday morning, November 14. However, her lucky fans who had received a code to use the company's Verified Fan program, broke down Ticketmaster and the rage was unbelievable. Starting at 9 am in the morning, users began struggling with the platform as they waited in line for long hours only to get kicked out before checking out. The fans went online to complain about it and inform the singer. 

Owned by Ziff Davis, the parent company of Mashable, Ticketmaster instantly went viral as the singer's fans were not ready to deal with this issue. As Ticketmaster was overwhelmed by the 32-year-old pop singer's ardent fans, some desperate ones rushed to other sites like StubHub only to witness the lowest prices of the tickets to be $250 for some shows and others, including at MetLife Stadium with Phoebe Bridgers, touching a mind-boggling $12,600. Taylor has released four albums and re-recorded two albums since her last tour in 2018, which indicates a rejuvenated set for the Eras tour which will feature performances from Bridgers, Paramore, HAIM, and more with over 50 shows in the roster. This would be her biggest-ever US tour and could break her record for a North American gross.

One disappointed user wrote, "@Ticketmaster @taylorswift13 I waited in queue for 7 hours only to get REJECTED selecting tickets due to a technical ERROR?! I just want to see Taylor". Another user suggested an alternate idea and a possible business plan for Swift and wrote, "Taylor Swift should legit start a competitor to Ticketmaster. That is all." Another user wrote, "ticketmaster is like “we’re sorry about all the technical problems, this demand was unexpected” as if taylor swift isn’t one of the biggest artists in the galaxy"

One angry user wrote, "i waited FIVE HOURS in this line to buy 2 tickets for a houston show. that’s it that’s all i want is 2 tickets! and now i’m getting this error over and over and over again. RESCHEDULE THE PRESALE AND FIX YOUR WEBSITE @Ticketmaster" Another disappointed fan tweeted, "@taylorswift13 Have to say it was frustrating day for pre-sale. Finally got through and when I went to purchase tickets, I received and error and sent me back into the queue. You should get ever $$ back from Ticketmaster." One more user wrote, "Have been on @Ticketmaster for 9 hours. I added tickets to my cart 5 times for an error to occur each time. Then I got booted TWICE and had to rejoin the queue. Despite having a boost, I did not get tickets. Beyond frustrated & disappointed."
