Taylor Swift drops EP version of 'Folklore', surprised fans say 'all this amazing content, we don't deserve you'

Swift took to Twitter and announced the unexpected drop saying: 'Yeah I showed up at your party...then made a thematic album chapter about it'

Taylor Swift once again sent her fans into a frenzy when she surprise dropped a new EP version of 'Folklore' out of nowhere. The 'Betty' singer took to Twitter and announced the unexpected drop saying, "Yeah I showed up at your party...then made a thematic album chapter about it."



 

The EP cover, which isn't black and white like 'Folklore' was, shows Taylor seated in front of a staircase in a relaxed posture. The full title of the surprise EP is 'Folklore: the yeah I showed up at your party chapter' and consists of six tracks which as follows:

'Betty (Live from 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards)'

'The 1'

'Mirrorball'

'The Last Great American Dynasty'

'Invisible Thing'

'Cardigan'

Fans of Taylor Swift flooded Twitter with quick reactions to the surprise EP. One fan, talking about the EP being 'her favorite chapter', wrote, "i just KNOW this is her fav chapter because she knows how bad we wanted her to say f*ck in betty and now this version will haunt us forever," while another, thanking Taylor for the EP, said, "all this amazing content you keep giving us we don't deserve you!"



 



 

Another Swift fan, super excited by the news of the new EP, tweeted in all caps, "Literally this chapter = all my favorite Folklore songs," while a different fan, echoing similar sentiments and thanking Swift, said, "I was struggling to finish my school works and you tweet this. I'm suddenly motivated." Another fan of the superstar, enthused by the news and discussing the title of the EP, tweeted, "Yeah I showed up at your party will you have me will you love me will you kiss me on the porch in front of all your stupid friends if you kiss me will it be just like I dreamed it will it patch your broken wings I'm only seventeen I don't know anything but I know I miss you stand."



 



 



 

Taylor Swift's 'Folklore' released on July 24, 2020, and went straight to #1 on the Billboard 200. Recently, Swift performed at the 2020 ACM Awards for the first time in seven years. She sang 'Betty', a ballad about teenage heartbreak, in an acoustic set from Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry.
