Taylor Swift applauds ex-boyfriend Harry Styles’ Grammys 2021 win, fans ask ‘where was he’ when Taylor won

Taylor Swift lost out to Harry Styles for Best Pop Solo Performance but cheered him on regardless of the results

Losing out a coveted award at a ceremony like the Grammys may be awkward for some, but not if your Taylor Swift. Taylor may have lost out on the Best Solo Pop Performance for 'Cardigan' to ex Harry Styles who won for, but she's far from being bitter about it, Taylor was one of the first on her feet to cheer on her ex-boyfriend as he won his first Grammy. Considering it was not the most pleasant breakup, the Internet is thrilled about just how supportive this ex-love story has turned out.

Taylor Swift and Harry Styles dated from late 2012 to early 2013 and now are both in other relationships. Styles is dating Olivia Wilde, and Swift has been in a long-term relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn. Swift's breakup with Styles was not an amicable one and she even wrote songs about Styles in her 2014 album '1989'. Styles made it clear however that the songs didn't bother him. Styles in an interview said, “I think about what it means to me to write a song about somebody else and for somebody else to do that, it’s like flattering, even if the song isn’t that flattering, you still spent time on it and ultimately, using Taylor as an example, she’s a great songwriter. So at least they’re good songs,” he said.

Well, it seems like now whatever animosity may have been harbored, is all water under the bridge. Fans couldn't be more delighted. One fan says "taylor swift is so happy for harry styles. i love it #GRAMMYs"

Seeing Harry and Taylor in the same space was enough to make some fans day or even year. "The cut from Harry Styles to Taylor Swift just added years to my life #GRAMMYs". Taylor not just supporting an ex, but an ex who had walked away with an award she was up for, that had Taylor gaining some serious respect from fans. One fan said " harry styles winning a grammy and taylor swift standing up and clapping for him even though she lost the grammy he won. send tweet." Referring to the previous animosity, some fans couldn't believe their luck, "i still can't believe we got a taylor swift & harry styles interaction.... #GRAMMYs". Another fan who is now happy all is at peace says " HARRY STYLES AND TAYLOR SWIFT BESTIES CONFIRMED I CAN DIE HAPPY".

Fans wondered where Harry was when Taylor won, with one asking, "was this where he was when taylor won :(((" and another saying, "where was harry tho? is he changing outfits again". "Ok but where was Harry when Taylor won I didn’t see him," 

But at the end of the night it wasn't just Taylor's attitude that won big. Taylor also walked away with the award for Album of the Year for 'Folklore'. We're sure Harry cheered her on as well. The 2021 GRAMMY Awards show, officially known as the 63rd GRAMMY Awards, took place Sunday, March 14, at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.
