'TattleTales': Tekashi 6ix9ine drops first post-prison album, angry fans tell him to 'go back to jail'
Tekashi 6ix9ine, one of the most controversial rappers of recent times, is back with a new album. The rapper, who had been teasing the arrival of a new record for a while now, made the announcement about the record, titled 'TattleTales', on Twitter.
This is the rapper's first album since being released from jail. 6ix9ine was arrested back in 2018 on racketeering, weapons, and drug charges. He was subsequently handed a two-year prison conviction after pleading guilty to nine charges which included conspiracy to commit murder and armed robbery.
The rapper later dropped four singles throughout 2020 and announced the release of his upcoming album which seems to be purposely titled 'TattleTales' -- a play on the rap community calling 6ix9ine a 'snitch' and a 'rat'. This was followed by some high profile feuds with rappers Meek Mill, 50 Cent, YG, Rich the Kid, and Future. 6ix9ine made the following announcement to reveal the release of his album, 'MY ALBUM TATTLETALES OUT TONIGHT WITH MUSIC VIDEO.'
This announcement was met with mixed reactions from fans who weren't so eager to listen to 6ix9ine's new album, especially after his recent feuds with Lil Reese. One user, while giving his feedback about the album, wrote, "6ix9ine tattletales 0/10 This album is horrible don't stream it literally the only good thing on this album is the production the autotune on this is f**king awful They used a phonecall from jail and added autotune to it. The features were horrible as well."

Talking about the album, another disgruntled fan wrote, "The Mexican in me wanted to listen to this, but oh f**k y’all don’t even understand how much I regret playing this garbage album. Disrespected 'Locked Up' (one of the greatest songs of all time) as well as my ears throughout the whole album. dogs**t/10."

Meanwhile, other music lovers reminded Twitter users that Big Sean has also dropped an album saying, "Big Sean just dropped some heat and mfs are bumping Doja and 6ix9ine first."

The thirteen-track album follows a handful of post-prison releases like 'GOOBA', 'Punani', 'YAYA', and 'TROLLZ' featuring Nicki Minaj. Along with the album, 6ix9ine also dropped the official music video for 'TUTU' co-starring Blac Chyna. Watch the clip here:
