'Tiger Inside': SuperM channel their inner felines in latest video, fans say they're haunted by 'Jongin's arms'

The song features a classic SuperM and SM Entertainment sound, including Baekhyun's high notes, but it also experiments with its overall direction

K-pop supergroup SuperM return with a fierce music video for their song 'Tiger Inside'. Channeling their inner felines with a little help from some striking blue lenses and some animalistic choreography, the septet followed up their comeback single '100', which showcased a sound closer to what they had on their debut track 'Jopping', with a song that delivers a fresh sound and new visuals. The video, which includes a pink-haired Baekhyun and a few manbuns to boot, has fans going into a frenzy.

After a mishap that caused the video to be posted several hours prior to its scheduled time, SuperM officially dropped the video for 'Tiger Inside' on September 1 as originally planned. The bungle left fans divided as some found it hilarious while others thought it ruined the hype. But split opinions aside, it appears the fandom has reunited following the video's release to share just how intensely the song has impacted them. Or to put it more specifically, how much it 'wrecked' them.

"Taeyong and Kai attacked me. They whispering to me to ignore Baekhyun and Mark. Afsdjakslskbg how???!!" shared one fan, who evidently has had their bias list entirely destroyed, revealing the struggle of rooting for more than one idol group at a time. But if you think that's going to stop them from doing so, you'd be wrong. As one fan stated, "Man... the other day, I was fangirling with SVT with their Caratland. Then yesterday I was being emotional due to Day6’s new song. Then now Kim Jongin be wrecking my whole existence. Am I still okay by now? BUT OFC I WON’T COMPLAIN! I WANT MORE HAHAHAHAHAHA." That's the life of a multi-fan, after all.

Speaking of Taeyong and Kai, they clearly caused fans the most mental distress with this video, owing to his hair and clothing. One fan shared, "I'm late for the party but WTF Taeyong's hair... I think I had a mental reset. I'll have this image etched on my mind for weeks," another added, "I can't handle that Taeyong with his tie hair OMG." Another fan pointed out, "TAEYONG WITH A CROP TOP AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH." As one fan surmised, "In conclusion: everyone’s a simp for Taeyong."

As for Kai, well his arms appear to have had an irreversible effect on fans. One fan shared, "I've rewatched like 5x just to see Jongin's arms," and another tweeted, "This also haunt me... sht Kim Jongin." Riffing off of Taeyong's style, another fan asked, "Can we get Jongin manbun in tiger performance." And one fan stated, "ERIGOMS BE LIKE 'Once you jongIN, you can’t jongOut' BECAUSE KIM 'KAI' JONGIN IS SETTING THE STANDARDS SO FREAKING HIGH." For the uninitiated, Erigom is the name of Kai's fandom.

Of course, amidst the fandoms falling apart at the members' visuals and style in this video, some took a moment to appreciate their off-stage personalities and the general tomfoolery they engage in when they're not inhabiting their stage personas. One fan shared a video of the 'alternate' version of the 'Tiger Inside' dance, stating, "The tiger baby / ps; Baekhyun cute on the back."

And others chose to highlight the group's stellar vocals, stating, "Damn Baekhyun and Taemin's vocal is on fire," as well as pointing out, "It’s not a SuperM song without Baekhyun hitting a high note."
