Super Bowl LIV: Michael Bay's Hard Rock ad featuring Jennifer Lopez and DJ Khaled leaves fans unimpressed
Hard Rock decided to include A-list celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, with cameos by Arod, Pitbull, DJ Khaled and Steven Van Zandt into their commercial but it failed to impress the viewers. The ad, which was directed by Michael Bay, saw JLo running behind a thief who stole an item from her hotel room.
Jennifer tries her best to catch hold of him and luckily, catches hold of him but only to find out that it was her fiance, Alex Rodriguez. This leaves Jennifer surprised but she gets the shock of her life when she watches Alex walking towards her from the corner of the room. It is then that she realizes that someone was pretending to be him.
Later on, Jennifer finds out that the thief was Khaled who was pretending to be Alex to get out to trouble. Even though JLo impresses people with her quick moments, the overall ad fails to impress people. "Holy shit that Hard Rock commercial might be the worst commercial of all time, definitely the dumbest super bowl commercial ever," wrote one user.
Another added, "Watching that Hard Rock Cafe commercial was like watching ADHD." While another echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "That Hard Rock super bowl commercial was the biggest piece of shit I’ve ever seen." However, there were others who thought that the commercial was great.
"That Hard Rock commercial was amazing. We got a tour of the entire Hard Rock Hotel Miami without even realizing it. It was a great way to tie in the Hard Rock Stadium, the Super Bowl halftime performance, and the hotel as a whole," one wrote.
Another added, "OK THAT HARD ROCK COMMERCIAL IS GREAT!"
