Spoilers for 'Suburra: Blood on Rome' Season 3

Amadeo Cinaglia might have been able to pull the election in his favour and become the new Mayor of Rome, but those close to him are not fond of the man he has become. Especially his wife, Alice, who leaves with their two kids after the children were kidnapped as bait to get Cinaglia to deliver Samurai to Aureliano Adami and Alberto "Spadino" Anacleti. Despite Cinaglia's earnest please turned threats, Alice leaves him and seeks refuge in the convent run by Cardinal Nascari. There she reconciles with her faith and Christianity and comes across newfound courage to stand up to her husband. But all of that doesn't come without a push from one of the sinister minds working the game.

Alice's stay at the convent is one of peace and tranquility, as she puts it. She prays around the premises with the nuns and tries to pacify her children's growing curiosity about where their father is and when they will be reunited as a family with immense calm and patience. At this point, Alice is still only thinking about her and the kids' safety, but all of that changes when she gets a visit from Nascari of course.

Putting up a false pretense of meaning well, Nascari tries to get into Alice's head. His ties with Cinaglia are already weakening in the wake of Samurai's murder and he doesn't quite want to work with the new rising underworld bosses - Aureliano and Spadino. So Nascari visits Alice at the convent, ambushing her almost when she is sitting in the law with her children. Nascari talks about Alice being the good wife and saving her husband from eternal damnation soon as she confides in him that they have separated. Sweet as ever, Nascari tells her the only right thing to do here is to report him to the police and thus restore peace and retribution in his life, and Alice, unfortunately, caves into his pep talk.

Alice reaches out to Cinaglia immediately and visits him at their home with the prospect of making it work. She tells her estranged husband that she is ready to look past his wrongdoings provided he quits what he is doing and focuses on their family only. All of this is too much for the greedy, ambitious Cinaglia and he makes it clear there's no giving up what he has accomplished after all he did to reach the top. When Alice tries to reason with him using a bible quote, Cinaglia understands who she has spoken to and where she is coming from. He threatens Alice with the despicable things he is capable of should she report him to the cops, and kicks her out. But this doesn't go without consequences.

Although Cinaglia immediately goes to Nascari to threaten him into seeing reason over spiting his spouse against him, Alice is too far in her plans of reporting him. Nascari, visibly intimidated, tries to change her mind, but Alice isn't hearing a word of it. So Nascari calls Cinaglia to warn him of Alice's plans, and that drives the mayor to visit his wife during one of her rounds around the convent. Cinaglia threatens Alice at first, even pleads with her, and finally when she wouldn't budge, he throws her off the steep rise of the convent's worshipping grounds and she falls on the rocks down below to her death. Cinaglia breaks down into tears immediately, but what this action of his to eliminate Alice shows the threat she had become to his ambition.

'Suburra: Blood on Rome' Season 3 is now available for streaming only on Netflix.
