'Stolen Away' aka 'Perdida' Season 1: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the Netflix Spanish crime drama

Netflix is adding yet another international release to their amazing list, titled ''Stolen Away' - the original title is 'Perdida'. It is a crime drama series following the life of a man named Antonio Santos played by Daniel Grao, who ends up in prison on purpose to find out who had kidnapped his daughter years ago. The series originally aired in Spain this year in January and will come to US Netflix later this month. Here is all you need to know about the upcoming release.

Netflix's synopsis reads, "Searching for his kidnapped daughter, Antonio sets off a series of events affecting scores of people when he maneuvers to be sent to prison in Colombia."

Grao is known for his role in 'Pot Luck', as Xoan in 'Julieta' (2016), Dr Roman in 'Julia's Eyes' (2010) and Jorge Vega in 'Acusados' (2009-2010). His most recent works include 'The Goya Murders' (2019), 'Promesas de arena' (2019), 'El inconveniente' (2020), 'The Year of Fury' (2020), and 'HIT' (2020). The actor has won a Canallave at the 2018 Piélagos en Corto - Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de Ficción for Best Actor for 'El Alquiler' (2017) and a CinEuphoria in 2019 for Best Actor in a Short Film - International Competition for the same production. He was also nominated for the Newcomer Award at the 2010 Spanish Actors Union for 'Acusados'.

Lapausa is known for her role as Isabelita from 'La senora' (2008-2010), Profesora Samper in 'Estoy Vivo' (2017), Cristina Perez from 'Love in Difficult times' (2014-2015) and Olga from 'Lifeline' (2016-2017). Her recent roles include 'Estoy vivo' (2017), 'Pequeñas coincidencias' (2018), '14 de abril. La República' (2011-2018) and 'The Europeans' (2020). In 2010, she was nominated for a Newcomer Award at the Spanish Actors Union for 'La señora'.

Olivares is known for her roles as Paz Mermejo in 'Aida' (2005-2014), Ines Vega in 'Bajo Sospecha' (2014-2015), Laura Galarza in 'Policías, en el corazón de la calle' (2002-2003) and Raquel in 'El comisario' (2001). Her most recent works include 'La embajada' (2016), 'Verde Pistacho' (2016), 'Welcome to the Family' (2018-2019), and 'La reina del pueblo' (2020).

The rest of the cast includes Fernando Solórzano as Quitombo, Juan Carlos Messier as Cruz, Jon Arias as Sebastián, Veronica Velasquez as Soledad Santos, David Trejos as Ignacio, Ana María Orozco as Milena, Adriana Paz as Angelita, Daniela Soneira as Soledad Santos, Antonio Mora as Enrique and many more.

Creators

The series is created by Natxo López, Ruth García and David Oliva. Iñaki Peñafiel, Rafa Montesinos and David Ulloa serve as directors. Alberto Carullo and Sonia Martínez serve as executive producers.
