Los Angeles, California (Release): Steve Conte, celebrated for his contributions to iconic bands like the New York Dolls and Michael Monroe, is set to unveil his new album, 'The Concrete Jangle', marking a follow-up to his 2021 release, 'Bronx Cheer'.

Scheduled for release on Record Store Day, April 20, this 10-track album boasts collaborations with XTC's Andy Partridge, who shares songwriting credits on five tracks, including the freshly unveiled single, 'Shoot Out The Stars'.

Conte sheds light on the creative process behind 'Shoot Out The Stars', revealing, "My new single 'Shoot Out The Stars' is another co-write with my songwriting hero, Andy Partridge of XTC. When Andy and I got together on Zoom for our writing sessions, I threw out a bunch of titles, and among them was 'Shoot Out The Stars'."

He continues, "We made the song about nihilism -- bored teens in Hollywood out looking for thrills. Andy and I had a strong synergy going on…we got into a real groove when writing these songs."

The album promises a fusion of Conte's signature rock 'n' roll flair with Partridge's distinct songwriting prowess, showcased through intricate guitar arrangements and psychedelic undertones. Conte's affinity for the key of B lends a power-pop edge to the track, enhanced by fuzz guitars, Mellotron, and even a touch of mandolin.

Beyond his musical collaborations, Steve Conte's illustrious career spans diverse projects and partnerships: From his groundbreaking work with Japanese composer Yoko Kanno on anime soundtracks to his tenure as guitarist for Michael Monroe.

His musical journey traces back to his upbringing in a household steeped in jazz, where his mother, Rosemary Conte, established herself as a renowned singer in New York and New Jersey. Steve's immersion in the vibrant music culture of New York City began at an early age, culminating in memorable experiences such as sharing the stage with Chuck Berry and securing a record deal with Mercury Records for his band, Company Of Wolves.
