BTS needs little to no introduction as the biggest K-pop group in the world and Spotify Wrapped agrees with the group ranking number 1 on the Global Top K-pop Artists list where BLACKPINK came in a close second followed by TWICE and Stray Kids.

The top 10 K-pop artistes list also featured Red Velvet, EXO, SEVENTEEN, IU, NCT 127 and (G)I-DLE. BTS V’s 'Sweet Night' tops the list of most-streamed Korean OST (original soundtrack) of the year.

According to Spotify Wrapped, the South Korean septet’s Grammy-nominated ‘Dynamite’ was the highest streamed song by any K-pop artiste or group followed by BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’. BTS’ ‘Boy with Luv’ came in third and ‘Black Swan’ came in fifth followed by ‘On’ which ranked sixth.

BLACKPINK’S ‘Icecream’ came in fourth, their Lady Gaga collaboration ‘Sour Candy’ came in seventh followed by their latest album’s title track ‘Kill This Love’ which came in eighth. Red Velvet’s ‘Psycho’ and Itzy’s ‘WANNABE’ took the last two spots of the top 10 most-streamed K-pop songs globally.

BTS’ V aka Kim Taehyung’s OST ‘Sweet Night’ for the Netflix show 'Itawoen Class' ranked number one as the most-streamed Korean OST followed by ‘Stay With Me’, a soundtrack from the show ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’ by EXO’s Chanyeol.

BTS’ rapper Suga as Agust D topped the Top Male K-pop Artistes globally while Zico came in second, EXO’s Baekhyun came third and BTS’ RM aka Namjoon stood fourth. V also featured in the list at number 9 with only one OST release this year as a soloist. BTS’ J-hope's ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ ranked sixth. The list also featured Jay Park, Eric Nam, Crush and Shaun.

The top female Kpop artiste title went to ‘Eight’ singer IU, followed by SM Entertainment’s Taeyeon and ‘Dream of You’ singer Chung Ha. Mamamoo’s Hwa Sa stood 4th, ‘Some’ singer BOL4 ranked fifth. The top 10 list also included Sunmi, Punch, HEIZE, LeeHi and SOMI with only one release this year, ‘What You Wating For’.

K-pop fans seem to agree with the list and a Stray Kids fan posted, “Stanning stray kids isn't just a hobby, its a lifestyle, a reason to breathe, an escape from this cruel world filled w thieves. its art, the first gift u open on Christmas, a hug from loved one, its everything u ever wanted, its everything u need.” Another BTS fan posted, shared, “Yes @BTS_twt my number 1 of course.”

BTS is also Spotify’s most-streamed/top group globally. This week, the group also made history with their latest album 'BE', which charted at number one in all the charts of Billboard along with the title track 'Life Goes On' being the first Korean song ranking number one in Billboards Hot 100.
