SEATTLE, WASHINGTON: In 'Shark Tank' Season 15, Rodney and Tanya Rasmussen make a splash with SplashZen, their splash guard designed to contain water during children and dog baths. Seeking a Shark's help to expand into more stores, SplashZen addresses the stress of bath time battles for parents dealing with active splashing kids.

Rodney and Tanya, the brains behind SplashZen, found themselves in a familiar parental struggle: battling splashing during bath time with their active sons. Tired of the water damage and constant "Stop Splashing!" commands, they embarked on a mission to create a solution, ultimately giving birth to SplashZen.

What is SplashZen?

After three years of meticulous planning, gathering feedback from fellow parents, and refining their design, SplashZen emerged as more than just a splash guard—it became a game-changer for families worldwide, transforming bath time from a chore to an enjoyable experience.

But SplashZen isn't just for kids. Dog owners quickly recognized its benefits in containing their furry friends and keeping their bathrooms dry during bath time. The Rasmussens themselves use SplashZen to bathe their Mini Goldendoodle, Blossom, effortlessly.

This innovative product boasts several features tailored to meet the needs of both parents and pet owners:

1. Easy grip: An ergonomic handle allows for one-handed operation, making bath time a breeze.

2. Splash Strip: A strategically placed strip along the bottom prevents water from seeping under the guard, keeping bathroom floors dry and slip-resistant.

3. Flexible, Waterproof Material: Transparent, flexible plastic ensures easy bathing for both kids and dogs while effectively containing water within the tub.

For pet owners, SplashZen offers extra benefits:

1. Convenient Storage: When not in use, the guard may be kept on its own spool, reducing bathroom clutter.

2. Optimal Height: The guard is the ideal height for washing, brushing teeth, and interacting with your pet comfortably.

3. Suction Cup Barrier Strip: Designed to prevent water from leaking beneath the barrier, keeping your bathroom dry during dog showers.

Who are the founders of SplashZen?

Tanya and Rodney, a husband and wife, founded Splashzen in 2023 after identifying an issue and devising a solution while working in separate companies.

Rodney, an accomplished marketer with a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Utah, has a track record of launching successful products and raising revenue on a global scale. He has held various marketing roles, including Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Sleep Center Hawaii and Director of Marketing Communications at Zija International.

Tanya, with a teaching certificate from Brigham Young University-Hawaii and a degree in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Utah, began her career as a Health and PE teacher at American Preparatory Academy Charter School. She co-founded Evolve Fitness in 2014 and joined SplashZen full-time in 2021 before later transitioning to Alaska Airlines as an Associate Inflight Engagement Coordinator in 2024.

Who will steal the deal?

Tanya and Rodney's pitch on 'Shark Tank' seeks $100,000 for a 10% stake. While Robert Herjavec and Mark Cuban might pass, Kevin O'Leary skepticism could deter him. However, Lori Greiner and Barbara Corcoran could be interested.
