‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10 reunion takes a wild turn as cast member reveals engagement and baby news
Reality TV reunions often toss out a surprise or two, but the latest gathering for ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10 came with a bombshell revelation. By the time the reunion episode arrived on March 11 on Netflix, viewers already knew that Brittany Wicker and Devonta Anderson didn’t make it to the altar. However, what they did not know was that Devonta would soon be a father. Towards the end of the episode, he suddenly revealed, “I got some exciting news that I am going to be a father this year.” Not only that, but he also confirmed that he is engaged to the baby’s mother. The revelation seemed to catch almost everyone off guard, including Brittany. When the news landed, Brittany made it clear she was hearing it for the first time. She shrugged it off with a short remark, “It's okay. I'm not fazed by it.”
Brittany and Devonta's relationship fell apart during the finale when Devonta admitted he wasn’t completely sure about them. During the special, Brittany explained that the day Devonta walked away from her apartment in the finale was, essentially, the last time they saw one another face-to-face. Looking back, she said, “I think that he didn't want to hurt my feelings and just be honest with me. I feel like as soon as he walked out of my doors, he was done with the relationship, and he just didn't want to say that to me. And he still dragged it out for weeks.” She mentioned that she had little clarity about their situation, even weeks after filming ended.
Eventually, she decided to reach out and ask the question that had been hanging in the air: Were they breaking up or not? Devonta said he still wanted to try working things out. But things soon changed. Brittany told the reunion audience that Devonta later mentioned he would be traveling for work. Instead, he went to Austin, Texas, to attend a concert with fellow cast members Bri, Ashley, and Prianka. She further disclosed, “Then a few days after he got back from his ‘work trip,’ he came over, and he said he felt like he couldn't show up for her and "disappeared."
When it was his turn to speak, Devonta admitted that he had "always struggled with being more direct with people." During the reunion, he confirmed that he had told other cast members that he and Brittany were no longer together, even though he hadn’t clearly said those words to her yet. According to him, “I should have been more honest with them. I was still processing. In my head, it was over. I don’t think the words had come out directly. And with that trip to Austin, there was no ill will.”
