Spike Jonze's exhibition, 'The Day I Met Björk', opens at Humberto Leon's Arroz & Fun.
Los Angeles, California (Release): WeTransfer opened 'The Day I Met Björk', an exhibition of unseen photographs of Björk by Spike Jonze, curated by Humberto Leon at his Los Angeles restaurant and gallery space Arroz & Fun.
Hosts Humberto Leon and Spike Jonze brought together collaborators and friends from the Los Angeles creative community including: Kim Gordon, Barbie Ferreira, Gregg Araki, Rivers Cuomo, Soo Joo Park, Edison Chen, Arianne Phillips, Shirley Kurata, Carol Lim, Chella Man, Atiba Jefferson, Soko The Cat, Alana O’Herlihy, Phillip Picardi, Leo Reilly, Andrew Thomas Huang.
The exhibition of 'The Day I Met Björk', is free and open to the public now through May, and unveils over 25 previously unseen images taken in summer 1995 at the Chateau Marmont in the days prior to shooting the seminal music video 'It’s Oh So Quiet'.
To bring the images to fans around the world, a limited edition commemorative zine produced in collaboration with WeTransfer features the never-before-seen contact sheets and a conversation between Jonze and Leon. The zine is available to download now globally for free here and in limited physical copies at the exhibition.
