Southwest claims 'unruly passenger' Savannah Chrisley 'repeatedly insulted' staff before being 'kicked off' flight
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Growing Up Chrisley' star Savannah Chrisley earlier blasted an airline for refusing to let her board a flight back to Tennessee. However, Southwest Airlines asserts that Savannah Chrisley gave a "different story" about what actually happened when she was escorted off a flight for being an "unruly passenger".
The 25-year-old former pageant queen shared her version of the tale on social media on Thursday, April 20, 2023, claiming that a flight attendant forbade her from boarding the flight to Tennessee.

'Repeatedly insulted several employees'
According to a representative for the airline, who spoke to Page Six, the 'Chrisley Knows Best' star "repeatedly insulted several employees" and as a result of her behavior, she was "denied boarding on her original flight" and was instead scheduled for a "later flight the same day."
Furthermore, according to the spokesman, the reality star "arrived at the gate late in the boarding process and was asked to gate-check her bag due [to] the overhead bins being full and to avoid delaying the more than 100 passengers already onboard the aircraft." The airline said in its statement that it is aware of Chrisley's Instagram footage and that it is "looking into the situation."
Savannah was thrown off Southwest flight
According to Chrisley, she was kicked off a Southwest Airlines plane because she had been an "unruly passenger". On Thursday, April 20, Chrisley posted a video to her Instagram Stories detailing the terrible experience she had while attempting to board an aircraft at John F Kennedy Airport. Chrisley, who has previously spoken publicly about her struggles with depression, was reportedly kicked off a trip to Tennessee because she did not check in her carry-on bags, as reported by Daily Mail.
Chrisley stated, "Alright guys, so I officially know why everyone hates Southwest so much. I mean absolutely hates it — the worst thing in the entire world." She pointed at a flight attendant, "This man right here... um, awful. I went to board my flight and he told me that I had to check my bag."
Chrisley claims that the attendant then referred to him as "an unruly passenger". Chrisley alleged that the pilot even got involved at one point to help the attendant and instructed her to "calm down" while assuring her that he would find a spot for the bag. That did not, however, resolve the matter.
The TV personality then claimed that she told the Southwest employee that she wanted to hurry home to see her 10-year-old niece Chloe, for whom she recently received full custody after her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley were given a combined 19-year prison sentence for tax evasion and fraud. Chrisley alleged that the Southwest employee had said, "I don't care."
