ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND: Mia Khalifa, a social media personality and former adult star, has criticized people who consume alcohol to the point of paralysis. Khalifa, a Lebanese-born Twitter user who has grown increasingly outspoken in recent years about a range of topics, was expressing her support for singer Kali Uchis.

Using Elon Musk's microblogging platform, musician Kali Uchis, who has more than 1.1 million followers, tweeted about being clean for 10 months. "I been sober 10 months, I was drinking & smoking since 12 years old even got alcohol poisoning & almost died at 17 so it’s big for me, thank you," she wrote in her post. Mia saw the post and shared it with her 5.3 million followers through a quote tweet.

'A hangover is a form of POISONING'

Mia supported Uchis and said in her quote tweet: "Sorry but her take on alcohol is 1000% valid and if you disagree, u’ve already fed into the game they set up for you along with big tobacco. It is literally poison…. A hangover is a form of POISONING…. People who’d rather drink than smoke are goofy, y’all need to love urselves," as per Daily Star.

Yet, Mia's remarks sharply divided people's perspectives. According to Musk's new views statistic, more than 784.3K people saw the tweet and almost 3,193 people liked it. However, the comments on the tweet were divided between those who agreed with her and those who criticized her.

'I love you Queen'

Mia's tweet received mixed responses online. One user commented, "Smoking still causes lung cancer, rather promote edibles and microdosing," while another said, "I would 100% rather than drink than smoke. drink responsibly and you wont be hungover. to each their own, but smoking just leads to sitting on a couch with zero personality." "True, so is porn a hell of a drug similar to heroin, for consumers. Also, not good fr performers," said another commenter.

One user criticized Khalifa and wrote, "Love ourselves? This female is telling us to love ourselves after the history she's had!??! She's telling US?! She is telling US?!!? coming off with a "positive message"?! She's telling US!? That's like a murderer and pedo giving us life advice and telling us to be better!!!"

Other internet users supported Mia's statement. "I agree. I’m 10 years sober and my life improved 1000%. I’m still healing from the damage done of course but with a clear head. I went back to school, got my degree, traveled, and have healthy relationships. Alcohol is truly a poison and its abuse is widely promoted," commented one such user.

Another user thanked Mia and said, "Thank you Mrs Mia, for me or anyone that's in the same spot as me. As I was growing up people/friends didn't want to hang with me cause I didn't get involved in smoking and drinking. I've always found those two things being an poison to the mind and body so I."

Another social media user exclaimed in the comment, "I love you Queen." The comments continued with one more user writing, "This is so true! My husband was a big drinker and tobacco smoker until I married him and introduced him to weed. His health greatly improved after he left those poisons for good. Governments allow these "freedoms" to be sold, so they may profit themselves."
