'Snowfall' season 3 episode 3 will see Franklin Saint and his associates struggle to play with the big boys of LA

It looks like Franklin made a mistake by trusting Bootsy with the brick of crack he gave him. In the promo, we see Bootsy trying to teach Franklin and Leon Simmons a lesson about wanting to roll among the big boys of Los Angeles and this doesn't sit too well with Leon, who attacks Bootsy.

'Snowfall' season 3 episode 2 saw Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) tell his people their aim was to do business only with people who can buy crack (cocaine rocks) in kilos. He wants to do business with the high-end clientele and even makes inquiries about offshore accounts for his business.

He goes to Avi Drexler (Alon Aboutboul) for advice about how to manage cash and is given a chance to learn, but there is also caution when Avi says the longer you live, the more mistakes you make. This is clearly directed not just at himself, but also at Franklin as he is currently working aggressively to expand his business. However, all of these grand schemes might go down the drain in episode 3 of this season titled 'Cash and Carry'.

It looks like Franklin made a mistake by trusting Bootsy (Calvin Clausell Jr.) with the brick of crack he gave him. In the promo shared by FX, we see Bootsy trying to teach Franklin and Leon Simmons (Isaiah John) a lesson about wanting to roll among the big boys of Los Angeles and this doesn't sit too well with Leon, who attacks Bootsy.

In the meanwhile, we see Avi try to hook Franklin up with one of the banks that sets up offshore accounts, but just as things begin to roll, we see there is a problem on that end as well. Avi looks visibly anxious as he asks Franklin what is going on. Franklin tries to convince him about needing more time, but Avi says arrangements have been made and this doesn't seem like an appointment he could simply reschedule.

Avi has bet his reputation for Franklin, and this is probably going to affect his business. Will one miscalculation cost everything Franklin has worked for? So far, Franklin has been cautious when it comes to his business dealings, but his decision to trust Bootsy with a brick of crack doesn't seem like a sound choice.

Leon too is unsure about taking this step forward in their association with Bootsy. This dealer from the other side of the city has always had a different plan then he's let on. Before Claudia Crane's death, Aunt Louie (Angela Lewis) and Franklin had both assumed he was on Claudia's (Judith Scott) payroll, but that might not have been the case after all.

To say s*** is going down would be the biggest understatement at this point in 'Snowfall'. It is clear Franklin will have to do some fast talking if he is to come out of this one unscathed. It also looks like Franklin's mother is not totally convinced by her son's grand ideas.

He is also seemingly conscious about moving money from one of their black accounts, and this combined with how strange he has been acting since he found Reed Thompson was not who he said he was has kept Cissy Saint (Michael Hyatt), his mother, on her toes. Now, the question remains; how is Franklin going to get out of this mess without sacrificing something of his own?

'Snowfall' season 3 airs on FX Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET.
