On the heels of the band’s well-received 'Shiny and Oh So Bright Tour' — which marked the trio’s first tour dates together in two decades — Smashing Pumpkins have added a series of dates celebrating the 30th anniversary of the band’s creation.

Following the previously announced sold-out November 30th hometown show at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom, frontman Billy Corgan, bassist James Iha, and guitarist Jimmy Chamberlin will bring the 30th anniversary trek to the Midwest and Southwest, hitting cities like St. Louis, Tulsa, San Antonio, Tucson and Phoenix. Tickets for the new dates go on sale October 5th at the Pumpkins' official website.

The forthcoming jaunt will also celebrate Smashing Pumpkins’ latest album, the elaborately titled 'Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LLP: No Past. No Future. No Sun.', which is due out on November 16. The album is the first to feature both guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin since 2000, with former bassist D'arcy Wretzky being left out after things got ugly between her and Corgan.

Two tracks have already been previewed from the album: lead single 'Solara' and  'Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)',  which is to be accompanied by a music video directed by Billy Corgan, set to arrive anytime now. Pre-order the album here.
