POST HALLS, IDAHO: The boyfriend of slain Idaho student Madison Mogen has finally broken his long silence weeks after the brutal slaying of his girlfriend and her three friends in Idaho. He spoke about the crime during a memorial service in the hometown of one of the slain students.
Jake Schriger, who knew all four victims, is devastated by the horrific incident and grieving as he finds it difficult to come to terms with the loss. "None of these people deserved this," he said during Friday's memorial service in Post Falls, where Xana Kernodle, one of the victims, grew up, the New York Post reports.

Recalling the time when 21-year-old Mogen and Schriger had their first date at The Breakfast Club in Moscow, he talked about how the couple's friendship grew into romance over time, according to the New York Post.
Schriger spoke about his love for Mogen at the vigil at the Real Life Ministries saying “She was the first person I talked to every morning and the last person I talked to before bed. She was the person that I loved most.”
Schriger's mother Stacy told the New York Post in a previous interview that "Her and Jake were like peanut butter and jelly. We were expecting her for Thanksgiving. Whenever we talked on the phone, she always said I love you.". She also said that she was awaiting the couple's arrival at their home to spend Thanksgiving together.
The vigil was also attended by parents of other victims including Mogen's father, Ben Mogen, Kernodle's father, Jeffrey Kernodle and Kaylee’s parents, Steve and Kristi Goncalves, and their other four children.
Kaylee's parents have been speaking up about the investigation throughout where Steve spoke to NewsNation's Brian Entin previously that Kaylee's injuries were worse than the other kids and being frustrated that the investigators are 'cold' about the killings, he is investigating the case privately, reports the New York Post.
Madison Mogen, 21, her close friend Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Ethan Chapin, 20, and his girlfriend Kernodle, 20, were all killed in a brutal stabbing on November 13 at their off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho. The authorities have not yet found a suspect or the sharp knife weapon they believe was used for the murder.
