Singer Sinitta says she had to grow 'thick skin' when she was dating 'very, very kind' Brad Pitt
LONDON, UK: British singer Sinitta was forced to grow a "thick skin" when she was dating Brad Pitt. The 59-year-old pop star dated the 58-year-old Hollywood hunk in the '80s, and despite the fact that he was "very kind," she "always dated" the person that other people wanted her to.
"Brad was drop-dead gorgeous, but he wasn't full of himself. He was very, very kind. I've always dated the person who everybody else wants to be with, so I had to grow a thick skin. I've had girls put cigarettes out on my back in order to get closer to my man, not realising that I was the girlfriend," she said, as per Aceshowbiz.

The 'Toy Boy' singer said that she was currently looking for a partner who had a "wonderful sense of humor" after being single since 2009. She made light of the fact that attractiveness fades over time, with the exception of the 'Fight Club' star. "[I want] kindness, a good sense of humor, warmth, intelligence. Looks don't last forever... unless you're Brad Pitt!" she reportedly said.

Pitt dated Sinitta between 1987 and 1988, after begging his agent to call hers after he saw her on TV and reportedly fell in love. Sinitta later dumped the actor before he shot to fame in 'Thelma & Louise' but looks back at their time fondly. "He was beautiful with the most amazing body," she said, per Marie Claire, adding, "I saw him for two years. He was fun, he was young and very sweet."
The 'So Macho' singer, who previously had a fling with Simon Cowell in the '80s, has chosen to participate in the reality series 'Celebs Go Dating' because she felt "completely safe" on blind dates and was "freaked out" by dating apps. "I've been on dating apps, and while I'm quite happy messaging people initially, as soon as they suggest meeting up, I get a bit freaked out and stop talking to them. I've never started any of my relationships without being friends with a person first. The agency was great, because it gave me the opportunity to have a blind date where I felt completely safe," she reportedly said.
