'Just do your thing and ignore them'

Just do your thing and ignore them.” And another excited fan wrote, “You looked beautiful. Don't listen to any of that noise. Continue to be the amazing woman and amazing role model you are to the younger generation following in your footsteps. Congratulations, beautiful!”
'Oh, he's pretty cute'
Among several other supporters, they supported their Olympian star by saying, “What's insane is that your hair looks great and all I paid attention to at first was how sweet the photos were!!”. “They tried this s*** with Gabby Douglas and now Simone Biles. It sounds like self-hate and anti-Blackness to me. Folks think textured hair is bad, and Black women’s hair should be super straight with no kinks or curls. Simone Biles’s hair is fine. Let Black girls live', agreed another fan.
Interestingly, in the US, women are being encouraged to embrace their natural hair. In this regard, California banned the racial discrimination of natural hair in the workplace and schools in 2019. according to Daily Mail. Biles told Wall Street Journal how she met her future husband Owens in March 2020, “He would say I slid into his DMs. I saw him and I was like, "Oh, he's pretty cute," so I said hi. And then I saw that he was in the Houston area, so we started chatting a little bit, and then we went to hang out a week or two later.”
