LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak announced that the duo had withdrawn their retro soul collaboration, 'An Evening With Silk Sonic', from 2023 Grammy Awards consideration, as reported by DailyMail. “We truly put our all on this record, but Silk Sonic would like to gracefully, humbly and most importantly, sexually, bow out of submitting our album this year,” Mars said.

“We hope we can celebrate with everyone on a great year of music and partake in the party. Thank you for letting Silk Sonic thrive," Mars revealed to Rolling Stone in a statement. He then added, “Andy and I, and everyone that worked on this project, won the moment the world responded to ‘Leave The Door Open.’ Everything else was just icing on the cake."

"Come on, listen, listen, listen. We are really trying our hardest to remain humble at this point, okay. But in the industry we call that a clean sweep. All right? For all the other nominees, we all know we love y'all, we love y'all, all right. Drinks is on silk sonic tonight. We getting drunk. I know a lot of y'all fans might be upset, we are going to get out of here before the internet gets to talking, Bruno. God bless you all, good night," said Anderson as the duo received the 2022 Grammy awards, reported People. According to Hollywood reporter, Mars has won 15 Grammy in his career whereas Anderson has eight Grammy to his credit.

'Oh he’s a Grammy darling'

Internet was quick to react to this news. A user claimed, " don’t really care for Bruno but this could have been big for Anderson, more interested in his take on it.. FYI it’s his album also.." Another user claimed, "It’s sad this man has to downplay his talent so folks feel comfortable. I wouldn’t even want to win anything that I was given an advantage on." Another user stated, "literally his best album, idk why he did this." Another tweet read, "Oh he’s a Grammy darling."

A user claimed,"These dudes are stand up guys for this. Allowing some others to shine that’s huge I salute them." Meanwhile, a tweet stated, "That's unusual. But GOOD! Respectfully! I haven't streamed the full album since the release night. There's good songs......I hear on the radio." Further, a user said, "I actually respect that a lot." However, another tweet mentioned, "forcing the bias grammy board to pick outside their favourites >." "Wasn't expecting that!," said another user.
