Sherri Shepherd 'truly concerned' after Wendy Williams disses her on Instagram Live
When Wendy Williams dissed Sherri Shepherd, who took over her talk show, the new host said she is 'truly concerned' about the former host. Rapper Fat Joe and Williams recently did an Instagram Live together over the weekend. Williams said in the stream that she would not watch Shepherd's takeover of her former show as it is not her 'thing'.
The former co-host of 'The View' said she was not bothered by Williams' words. Shepherd started her Instagram Live on Saturday, May 7, and said, "I did hear Wendy say she will not watch me on the new show. And that’s OK. You know, I understand."

'Big comeback': Wendy Williams 'jealous' of guest host Sherri Shepherd, plans return
The 55-year-old talk show host, Shepherd asked her fans to 'pray' for Williams, whose health has been on a ride lately. Shepherd said, "She’s going through a lot. I’m truly concerned for her." The production company of "The Wendy Williams Show" Debmar-Mercury announced in February that Shepherd would be permanently replacing Williams as she has been absent since September.
A spokesperson for Williams said at that time that she understood the corporate decision. However, later Williams came forward and distanced herself from this statement. Williams was of the opinion that she will return to her original time slot 'bigger and brighter' despite learning that Debmar-Mercury was 100% committed to Shepherd.
An unnamed source also stated that if and when the production company feels Williams is ready to return to a daily live show, they would support her. However, this will definitely not take place this year as all of their slots for daily shows are filled.
Williams, who is also embroiled in a legal battle with Wells Fargo over her finances, has been trying to mount a comeback. After living in relative seclusion in New York and Miami for the past year, Williams finally made her public debut at a Met Gala afterparty with Jason Lee.
Williams and her Health
Wendy Williams, who was originally best known for her catchphrase 'how you doin?', has been facing some struggles in her personal life and health. It first started when the iconic daytime host passed out in 2017 and went into rehab. Two years later in 2019, she went through an ugly divorce and a year later she faced the loss of her mother.
When the thirteenth season of her self-titled show aired without her on it, in October 2021, fans were shook. They were confused as to when their beloved host would return. However, when she did not, the production company announced on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, that Sherri Shepherd, who has been a guest host, will take over the show permanently.
In the fall of 2021, Williams was struck with Graves disease. Debmar-Mercury, the production company of her show said, "Wendy continues to be under medical supervision and meets with her medical team on a daily basis. She is making progress but is experiencing serious complications as a direct result of Graves’ disease and her thyroid condition. It has been determined that more time is needed before she is able to return to her live hosting duties."
Later, an insider said, "Wendy won’t be returning to the show for the rest of this season. Her healing is going slower than everyone had hoped. She continues to deal with a number of medical issues, including Graves’ disease, and she and her team are taking it one day at a time."
