Shawn Mendes 'Wonder': Release date, tracklist, cover and all you need to know about singer's fourth album
Shawn Mendes is returning to fix your quarantine blues, according to the singer's own official social media handles. Dropping a surprise out of nowhere, Mendes posted a teaser for his upcoming album, which is aptly titled 'Wonder'. In the teaser video for the album, Mendes promises to take you to wonderland – a place which, amidst these strange times, is nothing but you alone in a cluttered apartment.
Announcing the upcoming album, Mendes posted a handwritten which read, "I've missed you all so much! I know it's been a really scary year for everyone so I'm sending buckets of love to all of you," he then continued, "I wrote an album. It's called 'Wonder'. It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into songs. I tried to be as real and as honest as I've ever been." You can read the complete note in the tweet below:

In the short teaser clip, Mendes is seen lying underneath his piano inside a messy bedroom while playing a note eerily similar to Pixies' track 'Where Is My Mind'. Empty bottles and an upside down pizza box are strewn across the floor. A sheet reading 'set list' is seen on the floor with songs from his previous albums, and a few new ones too. A guitar is also propped up against a leather sofa.
Release date
'Wonder', according to Mendes himself, will be available worldwide on December 4th with the lead single releasing on October 2nd. Mendes first teased the album with the tweet, "WHAT IS #WONDER," followed by announcing the release dates, "#WONDER The Single October 2nd, The Album December 4th." Later, the official Twitter handle for Universal Music Canada, promoting 'Wonder' merch, wrote, "It's a world, a journey, and a dream... and now you can wear it ♡ @ShawnMendes' #Wonder merch just dropped and we are in love.which fit is your fave?"

The official Pop Crave Twitter handle shared more details about the upcoming album. In one tweet, the handle confirmed that Mendes' 'Wonder' will consist of 14 tracks writing, "Shawn Mendes’ new album, #Wonder, is confirmed to include 14 songs." In a second tweet, announcing the release of the first track from the album, Pop Crave wrote, "The 'Intro' track to Shawn Mendes' new album, #Wonder, is now available on streaming services."

Excited fans also began tweeting about the upcoming album. One fan, posting a cover for the teaser track, wrote, "I’m so excited for #WONDER so I already made a little cover of the intro (in my own version cause I don’t think the chords are right) I love you so so much and I feel insanely inspired by you, knowing you’re back is making my year so much better not kidding," while another, praising the teaser's technicians, wrote, "This is a thread to praise the cinematography, art direction and the photography of this video! Singer Camila Cabello, who is dating Mendes, took to Instagram, saying, "the world could use some magic, beauty, and Wonder always, but especially right now. Shawn Mendes what a gorgeous gift to the world. He’s crafted this album with every last bit of his soul, his spirit, and his essence with the purest of intentions. My love, I’m so proud of the person you are and I’m so excited for people to see and hear your heart."
Mendes's last released the self-titled studio album 'Shawn Mendes' in 2018 which reached #1 in both the US and Canada. In 2019 he released 'If I Can't Have You' and 'Señorita' alongside Camila Cabello the latter of which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart; his only #1 single till date.
