'It is no small thing': Sharon Stone reveals she lost NINE children in MISCARRIAGES
Sharon Stone recently revealed that she has been through nine miscarriages. The 64-year-old actress commented on one of PEOPLE's Instagram posts which featured an exclusive interview with Peta Murgatroyd, who opened up about losing a pregnancy when her husband Maks Chmerkovskiy was in Ukraine.
Stone is a mother of three children she adopted -- Quinn Kelly, Laird Vonne, and Roan Joseph. Stone said, "We, as females don't have a forum to discuss the profundity of this loss. I lost nine children by miscarriage."

Stone said, "It is no small thing, physically nor emotionally yet we are made to feel it is something to bear alone and secretly with some kind of sense of failure." The actress continued, "Instead of receiving the much needed compassion and empathy and healing which we so need. Female health and wellness left to the care of the male ideology has become lax at best, ignorant in fact, and violently oppressive in effort."
While talking to PEOPLE, Peta Murgatroyd, 35, publicly spoke of her miscarriages for the first time. She recalled how she was lying in a hospital bed after her 5-year-old son Shai witnessed her being put into an ambulance. She remembers being called for help after she found her on the boy's bedroom floor and was unable to physically move as she tested positive for Covid just a few days prior to this breakdown.
Murgatroyd said, "I had no strength. I couldn't open a dishwasher. I couldn't open the fridge to feed Shai, to get him some toast. It got so bad that my breath was starting to be affected. It was really dramatic." She then shared how she called her husband who was thousands of miles away in Ukraine as the doctor entered her room.
Recalling that night of October 2021, Murgatroyd said, "I thought he was going to reveal some really bad news. I was like, 'What's wrong?' His face dropped. He said, 'Did you know you were pregnant?'" Her husband, Chmerkovskiy, 42, who was on the other end of the phone started celebrating when he heard the doctor say his wife was pregnant. However, he had heard incorrectly through the excitement as she had already lost the baby.
She added, "I didn't have that super joyous moment of, 'I'm pregnant again! I just had the moment of, 'You lost it,'" she said as she started bleeding just two days before this.
Murgatroyd shared a post on Instagram captioned, "My first night of IVF treatment 🙏🏻 Taking you guys on this journey with me for baby no: 2 is actually kinda special and incredible. I love sharing stuff with you all, and well….this is me being as transparent as possible. Let's normalize the conversations surrounding miscarriages and IVF and create an environment that is more comfortable for all women ❤️ Thank you @drmarksurrey @scrcivf for making this possible for my family XO."
