'Shadowhunters' season 3B: The story of the real Jonathan Morgenstern aka evil reincarnate
Once Freeform's extremely popular fantasy series, 'Shadowhunters' returns with its midseason premiere for what is going to be the final installment of the franchise, a lot of loose ends will finally be tied - offering fans the closure they have been seeking since the show was abruptly canceled last year. From finding out what exactly happened to our leading lady, Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara) to witnessing how all the action unfolds at the end of the series based on Cassandra Clare's bestselling novel 'The Mortal Instruments', a lot is about to happen. And among one of those revelations will also be the prime antagonist of this final season, Jonathan Morgenstern (Luke Baines).
The announcement that Baines will be playing the real Jonathan was recently made, just a little over a month ahead of the latter half of the third and final season of the show. Soon it piqued the interest of the show's ardent fans as so far there was a totally different appearance to the character of Jonathan. The explanation for the change of face arrives in the form of the tragic and not so pleasant backstory of Jonathan, aka Clary's half brother.
