Seventeen to drop new album this October, here's all you need to know about their comeback

K-pop group Seventeen is all set to drop a brand new project. The upcoming full-length album, which is supposed to release sometime in October, is currently under the process of being recorded.

This upcoming album is expected to be a major commercial success as their last release, the mini album titled 'Heng:garae', crossed the one million sales mark, becoming their first release to do so. Meanwhile, their second Japanese album titled '24H' sold more than half a million copies worldwide. Confirming the news of the upcoming release to allkpop, a representative of Pledis Entertainment, the company that manages Seventeen, said, "It's true that the Seventeen members are working diligently toward a comeback in October."

As word spread about the new album, fans of the K-pop group quickly took to Twitter to express their excitement about the news. One fan, tweeting the album confirmation, said, "Pledis Entertainment confirms SEVENTEEN is preparing for their comeback in October."



 

Another fan of the K-pop group, talking about a potential full-length album, tweeted, "Remember when seventeen talked about wanting francesca amfitheatrof to be the one who will design their next ring? and we all know that seventeen only change their ring ever FULL COMEBACK, i really hope not but what. if. full. album. comeback. on. october," while a different fan, urging the followers of the K-pop group to show full support, wrote, "carats, we did well during henggarae. we can do even better this october comeback, okay? we still have a lot to improve but if we just work together i know we can help seventeen succeed for this upcoming comeback!!"



 



 

Talking about the recent releases by the boy group, a fan tweeted, "nah i think seventeen are actually insane for having a japanese comeback just a little over 2 months after they released henggarae AND THEN having another korean comeback just a month after 24H???????" while another admirer of the group, glad about the new album announcement but concerned about the boys being overworked, said, "GOOD MORNING !!I jwu and svt comeback again in October. Our hard working boys really spoils us SO MUCH @pledis_17 ily pls don’t overwork yourselves and I can’t wait to support you guys again!!"



 



 

Many fans spread the word around about the upcoming release in order to make sure fans of Seventeen know about the latest development. One such fan wrote, "CARATS LISTEN SVT WILL BE HAVING THEIR COMEBACK ON OCTOBER AND WE HAVE TO COLLECT VOTING TICKETS (CHAMSIMS, BEATS ETC) STARTING TODAY! CARATS WE HAVE TO DOUBLE OUR EFFORTS AND COOPERATION. LET'S GIVE @pledis_17 WHAT THEY DESERVE," while another fan of K-pop, excited about the various upcoming releases, wrote, "seventeen, monsta x, and basically the whole kpop industry announced october comebacks we all know what that means."



 



 

Seventeen is a self-producing idol group with members actively involved in songwriting, choreograpy and all other creative aspects. It consists of members S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino. 

Seventeen has been quite active in 2020 releasing the hit Japanese single 'Fallin' Flower' which debuted at the top position of Billboard's Japan Hot 100 Chart. Then, in May, Seventeen released 'Hit The Road', a YouTube documentary that follows the group behind the scenes on tour. Later in the year, Seventeen released their best-selling EP 'Heng:garæ'.
