Seo Ye Ji's return in new series 'Eve' marred by new scandal, fans say 'leave her alone'

Despite Seo Ye Ji apologizing for a not-so-serious conflict with neighbors, she hasn't been left alone

‘It’s okay to not be okay’ actress Seo Ye Ji, who was soaring high for her excellent acting in the series, hasn't really built on her success because of scandals. Right after the show's success, things started to crumble for her when Dispatch dropped an article accusing her of gaslighting. After that, many anonymous users also targetted her saying she was shady. This made Seo Ye Ji go silent on social media for almost 2 years. Now that she is back finally for her new ‘Eve’ series, another anonymous user’s post has seen Seo Ye Ji being spotlighted in headlines as a bully. 

Back in 2021, an anonymous user claiming to be Seo Ye Ji’s neighbor, posted a lengthy story about how Seo Ye Ji’s parents had behaved. The user wrote, “Seo Ye Ji's parents placed dog gates around a stairwell used by all residents of the villa, making it difficult for others to use the stairs, and this created conflict with the other neighbors. During this conflict, Seo Ye Ji's father even pushed people threateningly. Seo Ye Ji visited her parents' home about three times a week, but each time, she parked her vehicle however she wanted in front of other peoples' cars so that they could not get out. This continued on for 4 years. At first, when I asked if she was actress Seo Ye Ji, she said no. But a while later, she brought a lawyer. The lawyer listened to all of the conflicts that happened in the past 4-years and apologized for everything. But Seo Ye Ji did not seem like she meant the apology. She said that her parents would be moving out of the villa, and also asked me, 'You're not going to write about this online, are you?'.” When the anonymous user’s post started to surface now, Seo Ye Ji’s agency Gold Medalist gave out a statement saying, "The issue arose due to misunderstandings. Seo Ye Ji's family apologized to all of the neighbors involved once they found out that there were complaints. Some time afterward, Seo Ye Ji's family relocated. Whether or not someone's apology seems genuine or not is up to interpretation. The matter has already been resolved."

Seo Ye Ji’s scandal with her ex-boyfriend Kim Jung Hun and her manipulative texts temporarily derailed her career. But finally Seo Ye Ji seemed to have put the past behind her after she was cast in the small-screen series ‘Eve’. Now that she has been making headlines for her comeback and for the personal apology letter that she recently wrote addressing her scandals, the conflict between her neighbors, once again, has put a black mark on her. On Twitter, many users have been expressing what they feel about the new scandal. One user wrote, “The reporter conveniently left out the fact that the dude called police but was told the parking had no issues. This was stated in his post in the forum. Seo Yeaji still apologized for everything but he is still not satisfied despite she did nothing wrong?” while another user stated, “Especially after he received the parents apologies and pretending to have put it behind, one year later he wants to reveal everything! And you are waiting to drag her name to get clicks. For your information parking conflicts happens to everyone even at church ground!” People have been slamming the anonymous user for trying to drag Seo Ye Ji’s name just because she is finally coming out of her long hiatus. One fan even wrote, “They really aren’t leaving her alone 😢,” which at the moment feels absolutely true.
