If you've been a long-time fan of 'Selling Sunset', then the show has an abundance of swanky houses, a touch of romance, and a lot of drama. With Season 5 here, it looks like fans can certainly expect some interesting plotlines.

One of the most crucial storylines has certainly been the cast's relationship with Christine Quinn. It looks like the new season still has some upcoming tension between The Oppenheim Group realtors. However, in a recent interview, Mary Fitzgerald got candid about what goes down behind the scenes.

As with the show's past seasons, it seems as though the cast is still unable to see eye to eye when it comes to Christine Quinn. Fitzgerald was undoubtedly at the forefront of it, seeing that she and Quinn were once roommates and now, she is often caught putting out fires. And it looks like there is still friction in Season 5 as well. "It's hard to say if the show changed people. It's not the show per se because they are filming us as us, right?" said Fitzgerald, while talking to The Sun.

"I think there are aspects to it and for some personalities, the cameras being on, wanting to be on the limelight, and with the press when nothing ever drops, it keeps going on." she explained.
She even spoke about how the matter tends to get out of proportion, seeing that the conversation around particular people never truly come to an end. "It kind of snowballs, but I think the effects of the show take people's personalities and exaggerate them. So if you're insecure, it's going to bring that out but if you are a narcissist, it's going to bring that out too." she added.

"But for the most part, we are very supportive of each other and are going through it together and it's been an amazing experience for the majority of us." she explained. And while feuds and filming are not easy, for Fitzgerald, it all boils down to her career, towards which she has a laser focus and intends on keeping it totally professional when at work.
"It's my job to keep the separation between work and my personal life. But I just try to focus on work and if I don't agree with someone or don't like them, I just keep them at an arm's length or walk away." she added, seeing that now she also has more responsibility on her plate, as she steps into a managerial position at the Oppenheim Group.

Catch Season 5 of 'Selling Sunset' on April 22, 2022 on Netflix.
