SHAME THAT! Selena Gomez flaunts curves in sundress in withering response to trolls
Selena Gomez had a treat for Tiktok followers as she posed in a breezy sundress while wearing flawless makeup in a new video. On Tuesday, April 12, the beautiful singer stepped onto the platform to remind us that she is definitely a 'blessing.’ In fact, the video she posted shows her mouthing those exact same words. The singer sat alone in a bedroom on a director's chair in the video with her hair natural and her glowing beautiful skin, while she played out pre-recorded lines about a woman who had just had her makeup done.
The singer says in the eight-second footage, "I just had my makeup done. And all I can say is, that I am a blessing. Look at this!” The clip received well over 1 million likes and over 10.5k users commented on it as of now. One fan wrote in the comment section, “OMG YOU ARE PERFECT.” “You're a blessing with and without makeup queen!” yet another admirer added. Someone wrote, “I've never ever seen someone perfect like you.” “Nobody does it better than the queen herself!! No matter what any hater says, hands down !! 😁😊 haters will hate cause they see her living it 💕” another user remarked.

The video comes just two days after she used the same platform to speak out against haters. Previously, Gomez used her TikTok story on April 10 to slam body shamers who she claims have constantly questioned her weight and attractiveness. She informed body shammers how she thinks about their opinions while wearing a tank top and nicely coiffed bangs. The star claimed in the TikTok clip, “So, I be trying to stay skinny, but I went to Jack in the Box, and I got four tacos, three egg rolls, onion rings, and a spicy chicken sandwich.”
“Honestly, I don’t care about my weight because people b*** about it anyway. ‘You’re too small,’ ‘you’re too big,’ ‘that doesn’t fit.’ ‘Meh meh meh meh.’ B***h, I am perfect the way I am. Moral of the story? Bye!” she added. The former Disney star recently stated that she stopped using the internet because of the continuous criticism of her physical appearance in public forums. In an April 4 interview with Good Morning America, Selena confessed, “I haven’t been on the internet in four and a half years. It has changed my life completely. I am happier, I am more present. I connect more with people. It makes me feel normal.”
The “Only Murders in the Building” star isn't too bothered by online negativity because she doesn’t let apps like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter consume her time. Body image issues had once plagued the singer and actress as she revealed to ET Canada in 2019 that she “really started noticing the body image stuff” through her own health problems. “I have lupus and deal with kidney issues and high blood pressure, so I deal with a lot of health issues. And for me, that’s when I really started noticing the body image stuff.”
She shared how lupus affects her weight, saying: “It’s a combination of all of it. It’s the medication that I have to take for the rest of my life. It depends on the month, to be honest… I really noticed when people started attacking me for [my weight]. And in reality, that’s just my truth. I fluctuate. It depends on what’s happening in my life. And that got to me big time, you know? I think for me, that really messed me up for a bit.”
Today, the singer has learned to take criticism in her stride and is a champion for body positivity letting no body shamer take away her hard-earned confidence and health.
