There was one fan who tried to shed some light on Gomez’s heath as the person tweeted, "It's the fact that selena said she wanted to vote in person and couldn’t 'for certain reasons' and then we see she’s being medicated for lupus in her room." According to Mayo Clinic, Lupus "is a systemic autoimmune disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems — including your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs."

Though the 28-year-old has not yet released any official statement about her health recently, her fans already know about the health scares she endured in the past few years. In 2015, Gomez shared her diagnosis with lupus and time and again talked about her struggles with the disease. Two years later, she also let her fans know about her kidney transplant surgery.
The 'Lose You To Love Me' singer's donor was her friend and actress Francia Raisa. She even proudly showcased her surgery scar in a photo, which she shared with her 195 million followers on Instagram on September 24.
In the picture, she was seen rocking a blue bodysuit as she wrote: "When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar. I didn't want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up. Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through...and I’m proud of that. T - Congratulations on what you’re doing for women, launching @lamariette whose message is just that...all bodies are beautiful."
Meanwhile, Hollywood Life has reported that Gomez’s fans should not worry about her as on October 26, she was seen fit and healthy while enjoying with some friends in Malibu at Nobu restaurant. Also, the most recent post by 'The Heart Wants What it Wants' singer showed her having a chat with Joe Biden’s running mate Kamala Harris in which the two women talked about "several issues that matter".
Gomez shared the clip of the chat on her Instagram account while urging people to vote.
