'Call us a throuple': Selena Gomez welcomes new year with best pals Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Selena Gomez told her fans to call her and married pair Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz a "throuple" as she shared several snaps of the trio from their New Year trip to Los Cabos, Mexico.
The 'Calm Down' singer, 30, became cozy with the 'Bates Motel' actress, 27, and her ex-model husband, 23, in multiple photo dumps on Instagram she posted Sunday, January 1, following her sensational fallout with former pal and kidney donor Francia Raisa in November last year. The acclaimed singer was spotted arriving in Los Cabos on Friday, December 30, with Nicola and Brooklyn to celebrate the new year. Brooklyn notably spent Christmas with his new wife's family instead of being with his parents and siblings.

Selena shared a photo series captioned "New Years dump part 1" that contained an assortment of snaps from her trip to Los Cabos to ring in 2023.
Selena was seen in one picture posing on a ladder as she climbed out of the water to return to a luxurious boat. The 'Ice Cream' hitmaker sported a white, strapless bikini top coupled with black bottoms. Her brunette hair was slicked back after she took a brief dip in the ocean, and she accessorized with a pair of flashy, silver-hooped earrings. In another photo, Selena was seen resting on a cot attached to the boat as she cuddled with Nicola and Brooklyn. "Fine calls us a throuple #foreverplusone," the star wrote in the caption of an additional photo series from their New Year's trip.
Selena was visibly happy as she had a blast with her new besties. One of the photos showed Selena and Brooklyn dancing in the hot sun underneath an umbrella as they enjoyed a game of Jenga. Both sported white ensembles as they posed with the crystal blue water behind them. The duo was also seen in another shot holding hands as they both showed off their matching silver Maison Valentino minidresses. The girls additionally donned matching see-through platform heels which were secured with thin straps around their ankles. "Thank @maisonvalentino for me and my angels dresses! Felt like a fairy!" Selena captioned a third photo series.
Both Selena and Nicola pulled their hair back into ponytails and accessorized with silver earrings in keeping with the color scheme of their ensembles as they bid a final goodbye to 2022. The besties also paused for an impromptu photo shoot on an outdoor patio, where Brooklyn was seen taking a picture of the two. The 'Wolves' singer then uploaded a final photo series that contained an assortment of tasteful black and white photos captured during New Year's Eve. One snap showed Selena relaxing on the sand with a black jacket draped down on her arms. A couple of other photos showed Selena and Nicola sharing a friendly embrace as they brought in the new year with their best pals. "Happy New Years y’all! You have no idea how much I love you all and appreciate you!" the 'Wizards of Waverly Place' alum wrote in the caption.
Selena was seen having a blast with her close pals just two months after her sensational fallout with former pal Francia Raisa, 34, who shot to prominence after offering to donate her kidney when the Disney star was gravely ill with lupus. The pals subsequently underwent a difficult transplant surgery in 2017. However, when Selena detailed her health struggles in the November documentary 'My Mind & Me', she made no mention of Francia. Speaking to Rolling Stone that same month, Selena said Taylor Swift was her only celebrity friend in the industry at the time. It's worth noting that Francia is a Latina actress with quite a few TV and film credits, including 'Bring It On: All or Nothing', 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager', and 'Grown-ish.'
Francia raised eyebrows when she unfollowed Selena on Instagram following the release of the documentary. She was apparently so irked by Selena's statement about Taylor that she branded the story "interesting" in the comments section of an E! News post. What's more? On Sunday, Selena left another controversial comment underneath a TikTok video that discussed how Raisa unfollowed her after being snubbed in the documentary. "Sorry I didn't mention every person I know," she wrote, making waves among her fans. That said, Francia has since deleted her comment, and Selena still follows her on Instagram, the Daily Mail reported.
