'Secret Society of Second Born Royals' has encountered its fair share of delays, but it's finally here. With its touch of sci-fi, the film features a new breed of superheroes and follows a fiery and rebellious princess living in the shadow of her older sister ready to take the throne. The Disney film is directed by Anna Mastro ('Pussycat Dolls Present') and it features an ensemble cast and is based on an original story by Litvak, Green and Austin Winsberg.

In an interview with MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), Peyton Elizabeth Lee and Noah Lomax opened up about their experiences of working on the film.

Your film is finally here after much delay. How do you feel?

Peyton: The film has been a long time in the making, so the fact that it's coming out is quite exciting.

'Secret Society of Second Born Royals' is an unusual blend of fantasy, action and sci-fi. What drew you to this film?

Peyton: The biggest thing that drew me to this film is the idea that the film has a lot of stories that are super relatable to the real world. It's in this heightened reality of princess, princes, superheroes and superpowers, and yet thematically are universal. So many of the things these characters feel, regardless of whether you are any of these, you can still relate and connect to these characters.

Noah: For me, I just love the idea of second borns. They're the ones who never get anything. I thought it was super cool, even though my character wasn't a second born. He is in a band and plays the drums, and that's what I've always wanted to do. That's something that caught my eye and I was really excited to be a part of it.

What would you say is your biggest learning from the film?

Peyton: I think I learned a ton during the process of this film. I learned a lot from the cast, we were all very different as we were from different walks of life, family situations and had different upbringings. Just the idea that we even though we were all so different, we created this piece of art that people were able to appreciate.

Noah: The biggest thing was learning about the people I worked with. I learned how to play the drums, and I have been doing that since. I have a whole new perspective on music.

What were the biggest challenges while working for the film?

Peyton: I would say, for me, the biggest challenges were the physical elements of the film, from the stunts we were doing, the obstacle courses, etc. These were super challenging. Even the other skills my character had, including guitar, skateboard. I learned how to do all of these things because I wanted it to look authentic and realistic.

Noah: I didn't have anything physical to do as such, apart from playing the drums. In one of the scenes, right before we had to film, I had to improvise and I wasn't the best with the drums at the time. I am a lot better now and if I could back, I would kill it.

'Secret Society of Second Born Royals' will stream on Disney+ on September 25.
