The review contains spoilers from 'SEAL Team' Season 3 Episode 5 — 'All Along the Watchtower: Part 1'

Ray (Neil Brown Jr.) and Clay (Max Thieriot) go on a mission to protect an unconventional US ambassador named Marsden (Khandi Alexander) as episode five rolls in.

Titled 'All Along the Watchtower: Part 1', the episode begins with Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) on the floor after a night of drinking. Meanwhile, new Seal member Vic Lopez (Lucca De Oliveira) tries to keep up with the Bravo Team and Ray welcomes him and lets him select his weapons.

Sonny Quinn (AJ Buckley) is still reeling from the horror of ending things with Lisa Davis (Toni Trucks) and arrives hungover with a black eye.

When Ray tries to pull his leg, Sonny gives him a verbal jab for poking his nose into his relationship. Jason is clearly not happy with physiologist Dr. Natalie Pierce (Emily Swallow) coming into the picture. He tells her he does not need any help.

For the mission, two Seals need to leave immediately. Even as Sonny volunteers, Ray tells him to stay back. When Lisa spots Sonny with a bruise on his face, she quizzes him about it but he tells her, "Your opinion of what I need to do ended when we did."

Clay and Vic get set to head out for the mission when he tells Vic how he didn't favor him for the team. Later, Ray elucidates to Clay how he knows Vic is the right guy. The two meet Mandy.

Jason confronts Sonny and asks him why he has been acting funny. Back at the mission ground, Ray and Clay meet a female ambassador and together, they talk to some men about maintaining peace among their people. As they travel, they see crowds mourning the loss of one of their own and celebratory gunfire erupts.

The two sit atop the compound and watch the crowd with binoculars. Meanwhile, Jason and the other Seals get ready to travel and meet them. Ray and Clay see the crowd going a little berserk and call Jason but suddenly, a barge of bullets comes firing at them.

They return to the basement to help one of the locals who gets shot. The ambassador needs to meet with a man who can bring peace to the situation.

Jason and his team make their way through the riots and angry locals. They are forced to get out of the truck and engage in gunfire in the alleyways. Amid the explosions and bombs, the team stops outside and fires at several enemies.

Ray and Clay head out with the ambassadors and the other Americans. On their way to the vehicles, they are blown back by bombs. The vehicles are on fire and it seems like the Bravo team is stuck with no way out.

The cliffhanger leaves us with an air of suspense and the hour-long episode is a thrilling ride packed with drama and action. Only time will tell how the team survives and finds a way to end the conflict in the area.
