Scotty McCreery and wife Gabi share perfect Christmas card of their dog and 2-month-old son Avery
RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA: Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi McCreery are giving fans a look at their family Christmas card celebrating their son’s first Christmas. The country music star and his wife shared a glimpse of their first Christmas card as a family of three on social media on Friday, December 23. The holiday card featured the whole McCreery family which included his wife, son Merrick Avery McCreery, and their Labrador Retriever, Moose.
The adorable photo shows the young couple with their son, who they affectionately refer to by the middle name Avery. They dressed in matching brown clothing for the family photo, with Gabi wearing a chocolate-colored dress and Scotty donning a tan-colored pullover sweater. Their dog, Moose, is seen gazing directly at the camera as the holiday card is shown perched atop a red gift bag.

The family also provided a glimpse of the back of the card, which included close-up pictures of infant Avery and served as a birth announcement documenting the date Avery was born, his weight at birth and the message, "Sending love from our family to yours this Christmas season! Love, Scotty, Gabi, Avery & Moose." "Favorite Christmas cards yet @minted," Scotty captioned the photo.
The 'American Idol' winner and wife Gabi welcomed their first child, Avery on October 24, 2022. The singer and the pediatric nurse got married in June 2018, after dating each other for six years. In an interview with People magazine that was published in June, Scotty said the pair had talked about having children in the future but has decided to focus on their respective careers before bringing life into this world. "We always knew we wanted kids, but we always knew we wanted the first few years to travel and have time on the road, to see things and experience life," he said.
After landing in Las Vegas for his first gig since the birth of his son, the new father reflected on his year in an exclusive interview with People last week. "This is my first trip away from home since he's been born, so getting to the airport and saying goodbye to him was definitely the toughest. It really hit me this morning," he shared. "Honestly, it's been emotional," he continued. "The first time was definitely a little sad, but luckily, Avery had his best night of sleep on record so far. He slept for five hours straight, so we actually got a relatively good night's sleep and that helped Gabi on her first day by herself with the baby, and it helped me as I was going away. I think Avery knew what he was doing!"
