Scott Grigoletto: Illinois teacher calls student 'piece of sh*t' over mask protocol
A teacher at Glenbard North High School in Illinois has caused quite the stir online after practically shouting at a student for not wearing the mask properly. The teacher at the high school, who has been identified as Scott Grigoletto, saw that a student was wearing a mask wrong (under his nose) and scolded him for taking his mask off. But Grigoletto is not under fire for that but rather the language he used. In a video recorded of the confrontation, he is seen calling the errant student a "piece of sh-t" for taking his mask off. Recorded by another student who was watching, the video has gone viral.
To make matters worse for himself, the teacher also threatened to call the police on the teenager because of the mask protocol was not being followed. When this video was posted on Twitter by the very popular account Libs of Tik Tok, it went viral on social media. Many users shared and retweeted the clip as a prime example of how teachers should not behave with many calling for his firing.

Many felt the teacher should be fired for this behaviour. "I would be pissed if I was that students Dad. I hope the parents don’t let this go. No teacher should EVER abuse there students. NEVER. Get rid of that teacher. Doesn’t belong teaching," one user wrote. Another added, "Wow! Sounds like this teacher needs anger management classes after he’s FIRED!"

If you think this is not chaotic enough, consider that the Twitter account Libs of Tik Tok has been exposing bad teachers across the country for a while now. Take the case of another teacher exposed by the account. She was recently placed on administrative leave after telling students to pledge allegiance to the pride flag. "During third period, we have announcements and they do the Pledge of Allegiance. I always tell my class, stand if you feel like it, don’t stand if you feel like it, say the words if you want, you don’t have to say the words So, my class decided to stand but not say the words. Totally fine,” the teacher can be seen saying in the video. She then explained that there actually isn’t an American flag in the classroom because she took it down during the pandemic since it made her “uncomfortable.” When a student commented to her that it was weird they were pledging allegiance without an actual flag, she jokingly suggested they pledge to the flag they did have in the classroom.

Newport Mesa Unified School District reportedly told the parents that "showing respect for our nation’s flag is a value that we instill in our students and an expectation of our employees. The teacher is no longer in the classroom".
