As the world struggles with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which brings a fresh supply of stress and anxiety every day, we all need an escape, and what's better than tuning in to a fully packed evening of entertainment? The 2020 virtual Emmys, which premiered on Sunday, September 20, 2020, beginning at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT, broadcasted on ABC.

Jimmy Kimmel hosted the award ceremony from the Staples Center in Los Angeles but without a live audience due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Producers of the show sent more than 130 cameras to nominees in 10 countries, a big technical undertaking for the virtual event.

As the biggest night on TV unfolds, many are rooting for 'Schitt’s Creek', which has broken the record for the most Emmys in a show's final season as it picked up seven awards in a row.
