May contain spoilers for 'Schitt's Creek'

The time has finally come! It might be the final season for our most beloved sitcom but it is also the season of wedding bells on 'Schitt's Creek'. We have been shipping David (Dan Levy) and Patrick (Noah Reed) since they first came went into business for Rose Apothecary.

And now that season 6 is here, we are very excited for what the series has in store for the couple.

Towards the end of season 5, just ahead of the Cabaret performance, Patrick proposed to David in the cutest way possible! So their wedding is something that was on the table since the end of season 5. Season 6 begins with David and Patrick planning for their wedding.

They scout one of the most prestigious, posh spaces for their wedding. It is a beautiful place - just out of a dream wedding, particularly for David who cannot contain at the thought of tying the knot with the love of his life.

The couple is joined by David's sister Alexis (Annie Murphy) and Stevie (Emily Hampshire) as they scout the place together.

Alexis, who is preparing to go to the Galapagos Islands with Ted (who is already there by the end of the fifth season). She has a flight to catch but makes a shortstop with David and company to check the venue out.

She is obviously getting angsty so as to not miss her flight and wants to rush the scouting.

But in classic 'Schitt's Creek' manner, things take a different hilarious turn and we see the Rose family and their closest in their best element - unintentionally funny. With the Rose family back on our TV screens, we cannot be happier for the final season to have 14 episodes!

Season 6 of 'Schitt's Creek' premieres on Pop TV on Tuesday, January 7, 2019, at 9/8c.
