Lennie James' second part in the Sky Atlantic original 'Save Me' is now coming to Peacock. The crime thriller is a story of a man's redemption after the disappearance of his estranged daughter and makes for a heartbreaking, sobering watch. Created by James himself who also plays the role of the deadbeat father, 'Save Me Too' continues the story from the first part of the show and follows Nelly on his determined path to find his daughter. The only question now is if he can ever find her or if she's lost in the deep, dark world of trafficking.

'Save Me Too' premieres on Peacock on Thursday, November 5, 2020. And while Season 1 is currently streaming on the site, you can catch up on these other shows that could be considered along the same lines as 'Save Me' - each offering a new insight into crime and mystery and a new take on missing children.

'Broadchurch'

Created by Chris Chibnall, 'Broadchurch' is set in the titular fictional town and focuses on and focuses on police detectives DI Alec Hardy (David Tennant) and DS Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) as they attempt to find a young boy's killer. When Hardy and Miller start investigating the case, several mysteries of the townspeople are unveiled. Featuring an ensemble cast that in addition to Tennant and Colman includes Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Carolyn Pickles, Arthur Darvill, Charlotte Beaumont, Vicky McClure, Adam Wilson and Matthew Gravelle, 'Broadchurch' is heartbreaking and compelling as it packs a thrilling dose of mystery.

While 'Broadchurch' doesn't tell a story of trafficking, it deals with trauma in similar ways. Especially when it comes to showing parents' grief over their missing/lost children.

'Giri/Haji'

Created and written by Joe Barton, and features an ensemble cast, including Takehiro Hira, Kelly Macdonald, Yōsuke Kubozuka, Will Sharpe, Masahiro Motoki, Justin Long, Anna Sawai and Charlie Creed-Miles, 'Giri/Haji', is a gritty crime thriller with a gory premise involving the notoriously murderous Yakuza and the police force of two nations. Directly translated as 'Duty/Shame', the BBC Two/Netflix series is set in London and Tokyo, with dialogue in English and Japanese.

But it goes beyond its crime angle. As Kenzo Mori (Takehiro Hira), a Tokyo detective travels to London to look for his long lost younger brother Yuto (Yôsuke Kubozuka), the series turns out to be a marvellous amalgamation of thrill, violence, drama, melancholy, humour and the element of surprise.

'The Missing'

British anthology drama television series, written by brothers Harry and Jack Williams, is a thoroughly impressive affair with a praiseworthy cast. The first eight-part series, about the search for a missing boy in France and the second eight-part series, about a missing girl in Germany. The compelling television show is appreciated for its absorbing storyline and heartfelt performances.

'The Forest'

The French crime drama created by Delinda Jacobs and directed by Julius Berg follows an investigation into a teenaged girl, Jennifer Lenoir's disappearance in a forest in the Ardennes, Belgium. 'The Forest' is not without faults, but it remains an intriguing mystery drama till the very end.

'Mardaani'

A 2014 Indian Hindi-language action thriller 'Mardaani' follows a policewoman (played by Rani Mukerji) whose investigations into the case of a kidnapped teenage girl leads her to uncover secrets of human trafficking by the Indian mafia. The movie, directed by Pradeep Sarkar, "offers a pragmatic and compelling story of what it is to chase down the bad guy". Such is the popularity of the movie, it was followed by a sequel titled 'Mardaani 2' in 2019. Following the success of the sequel in December 2019, the production house announced a possible third instalment in the 'Mardaani' franchise.
