At long last, the country music superstar Sam Hunt has announced a huge treat for all of his fans this year. On Wednesday, February 5, Hunt finally announced that his highly-anticipated second album, 'Southside' would be releasing on April 3 this year. This new record is set to feature his current Top 5 radio hit 'Kinfolks,' the lovely ballad 'Sinning With You,' and many more gems.

In addition to this, Hunt revealed that he would be headlining Milwaukee's Summerfest 2020 and also unveiled plans for a 41-city tour of North America in the summer.

The news of Hunt's second LP has been a long time coming, considering it's been nearly five and a half years since Sam Hunt's first album, the R&B-infused smash hit 'Montevallo' was released in 2014. But the singer has been on the road constantly since then and has also released five singles since that seminal debut album went triple platinum. His 2017 single 'Body Like A Back Road' broke all sorts of records, spending over 25 weeks on top of the charts. Clearly, the 'Take Your Time' singer wanted to heed his own advice!

To be fair, Hunt also got married in 2017 and has willingly embraced the new-fashioned musical model of favoring singles over albums, which definitely makes for a quicker and more efficient creative output.

Along with this, the musician also announced 'The Southside Summer Tour 2020'. Hunt will be ably supported by stellar opening acts like Kip Moore, Ernest, Travis Denning, and DJ Brandi Cyrus. This North American tour will see the singer travel to 41 cities on the continent, kicking off on May 28 in Charlotte and wrapping up in Albuquerque on September 26. Hunt will be moving through major cities such as Chicago, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Birmingham, Houston, Phoenix, and San Diego, so make sure you catch up with ticket details here!

In addition to this, it was revealed that Sam Hunt will be headlining Summerfest's American Family Insurance Amphitheater on June 26. Hunt's chart-topping country music is the eighth amphitheater show to be announced for Summerfest 2020, which will be held from June 24 to 28 and June 30 to July 5.

The Summerfest lineup, in addition to Sam Hunt, includes major artistes like Justin Bieber, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Crow, Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Dave Matthews Band, Halsey, Chvrches, Omar Apollo, and Guns N' Roses, just to name a few.
