Harry and Meghan’s new portraits were all about rebuilding ‘Brand Meghan’ and offending royal family
LONDON, ENGLAND: The royal family has been monitoring and reviewing every move Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made since relinquishing their royal duties and patronage in 2021, seeking new information about their complicated relationship with the royal family.

In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Tom Bower, the author of 'Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors,' said he "absolutely" believes the duke and duchess of Sussex released their most recent portraits in order to humiliate the royal family" “It was all about, we’re back now on course to build Brand Meghan and the book, the Netflix series, the podcast,” Tom Bower told Page Six. “Everything is money. And to their advantage, they were in the public eye for seven days during the funeral or more, every day they were filmed.” Bower added and said. Bower then compared the photos they have taken during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations where they were barely seen. “They were shuffled off to a window upstairs and hardly seen,” He contrasted it with Queen Elizabeth II's funeral, where "they took center stage."
“You know, she has really got one interest,” Bower added, “and that’s Meghan and the casualties are the royal family and as far as she’s concerned, that’s terrific.”
The pictures were captured during the couple's visit to the United Kingdom prior to the opening of @OneYoungWorld.The photographer, Misan Harriman shared the photograph on Instagram of them holding hands as they stood close to each other.
A portrait of the Royal Family was released just two days before Harry and Meghan's pictures were posted, with King Charles III and Queen Camilla Parker Bowles, alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton.
