Ronald Isley, the lead singer and founding member of the family music group The Isley Brothers recently performed on the Verzuz Battle and since then, the curiosity around the 79-year-old singer has increased immensely. Here’s more on Ron Isley’s wife Kandy who is 35 years younger than the ‘This Song Is For You’ crooner.
According to reports, Isley met his wife Kandy when she started working as a background singer for him. Kandy, who is popular as one half of the musical duo, The Johnson Sisters tied the knot with the then 65-year-old legendary musician in a posh wedding back in 2005 in Beverly Hills.

Who is Ron Isley's wife Kandy?
Kandy, currently a part of the duo titled Kim and Kandy is a singer, songwriter for the sisters duo. Even though her marriage to the iconic musician bears a 35-year long gap, Kandy has been quite vocal about how the age difference doesn't come into play as the pair shares quite a lot in common. Gushing on the beautiful love story, Kandy said, “[Ron Isley] is a GENTLEMAN! I mean, you’re talking about romance, he puts the ‘R’ in romance… from fine dining to treating a woman like a man should, with respect. As we developed a relationship, we had a lot of things in common and Ronald… even though he’s older, he’s young at heart.” Kandy is also quite active on her social media promoting Isley Brothers work from time to time.
Speaking more on her life, Kandy with sister Kim shared on a YouTube video that the 44-year-old musician grew up in California singing Church choirs. Kandy got the primary lessons of music from her mother who was a choir director and a Pianist and she started singing when she was only five years old. Kim shared that the sisters have been singing background for the last twenty years and traveled across the world on various musical endeavors. Kandy also boasted singing for some of the most iconic singers of all time including Michael Jackson, Andrae Crouch, Christina Aguilera, Barbara Streisand, and more.
Kandy and Ron Isley have a son Ron Isley Junior and the Kandi shares the happy family pictures on every special occasion. The family reportedly lives in St. Louis.
