Sarah Palin has been papped in the last few weeks with former NHL star Ron Duguay and it is now being reported that the two are in a relationship. Duguay, who was most recently spotted holding hands during Palin’s defamation case against The New York Times confirmed to a publication that indeed the two were in a relationship.
Sarah Palin, who celebrated her 58th birthday on February 11, was then clicked on a dinner date Duguay in Little Italy at Gelso and Grand restaurant, as reported by the New York Post. The two were later spotted leaving together while Palin held a rose in her hand apparently given by Duguay. Speaking of their relationship, Duguay confirmed the big news to The Daily Beast via text when asked “Are you dating Sarah Palin?” Duguay responded with, “Hi. Yes.” If we talk about the case, Palin’s attorney Kenneth Turkel accused the newspaper of falsely linking her with a mass murder to which a Times lawyer said that it was an honest mistake.

Who is Ron Duguay?
Ron Duguay’s real name is Ronald Duguay who was born in the year 1957. The Canadian native is a former professional ice hockey player who is best known for playing 12 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1977 to 1989. He was one of the star players for the New York Rangers. He was drafted in the year 1977 and played for them for six seasons. He bagged headlines when he set the team record for the fastest goal at the start of a game at 9 seconds in 1980.
He later joined teams like Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins and others but wrapped up his career with Los Angeles Kings before a brief return to the New York Rangers. In total, Duguay played 864 career NHL games, scoring 274 goals and 346 assists for 620 points. He later worked as an in-studio analyst during MSG Network's coverage of the New York Rangers from 2007 to 2018. On the personal front, Duguay was married to Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Kim Alexis from 1993 to 2016. He was earlier married to model Robin Bobo with whom he shares two daughters. Ron Duguay also briefly dated Charlie’s Angels actress Farrah Fawcett.

According to The Daily Beast, Ron Duguay, who has been extending his support to Sarah Palin in her court case, first said “We’re friends. I’m here to support her” but confirmed he is dating the politician later in the day with the help of a text, as mentioned earlier. According to the publication, Sarah Palin had earlier dubbed Duguay as her “buddy.”
The confirmation of their relationship comes weeks after sources had claimed that they were nothing but friends. According to People magazine, sources tagged them as "just friends" who "met through hockey." Palin has been single since 2020 after she got divorced from her husband of 31 years, Todd Palin in 2019. Dugay and Palin are reportedly dating for the last year.
