Is Roddy Ricch releasing a new album? Rapper keeps fans guessing after he deletes tweet announcing new music
Looks like the 63rd Grammys nominations excited the American award-winning rapper Roddy Ricch as he took to Twitter to tease his fans with a new album announcement. However, before his fans could celebrate the good news, he deleted the tweet from his wall.
Luckily, a fan took the screenshot of his tweet which included the title of his new work. The tweet read, “Love Is Barely Real Anymore’…otw.” According to the hip-hop music website Rap-Up, fans are assuming that ‘Love Is Barely Real Anymore’ aka ‘LIBRA’ could be the title of his sophomore album or possibly a new single. Also, ‘The Box’ hitmaker was born on October 22 and his astrological sign is also Libra.

Speaking about his sophomore album in an interview with GQ, as published by Rap-Up, Roddy had earlier said, “Could I drop a new album right now? Yes. Will I? No. It’s really not about it being ready or not ready. It’s more about the timing. I really just drop when I feel like it.”
Roddy has scored six nominations at the 63rd Grammys including Record of the year for ‘Rockstar’, Song of the Year for ‘The Box’, Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for both ‘Rockstar’ and ‘The Box.’ The 22-year-old rapper had dropped his debut studio album ‘Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial’ in December 2019 via Atlantic Records. The album saw guest appearances from Gunna, Lil Durk, Meek Mill, Mustard, Ty Dolla Sign, and A Boogie wit da Hoodie.
Roddy’s first studio effort debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and spent four non-consecutive weeks atop. His biggest career-hit came in the form of ‘The Box’ which peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. The song spent 11 weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 along with topping the charts in Canada, New Zealand, and Hungary.
Roddy also had an exceptional year in 2020 in terms of nominations and winning awards. He scored several nominations at BET Hip-Hop Awards, 2020 American Music Awards, Apple Music Awards and 2020 BET Awards where he ended up winning quite a lot of them.
Meanwhile fans were trying to understand why would he do that with some trying to decipher the song name as majority answered 'Libra?' One tweeted: "L.I.B.R.A... that's a sign" and other saying "'We need it".
