Melania's $2,700 gown trolled as 'green screen', Internet says she wore it to embarrass Trump at RNC 2020

The First Lady wore a bright green pleated dress on the final day of the RNC and Twitter went on a frenzy with jokes about it being a green screen to embarrass Donald

First Lady Melania Trump was seen sporting a lime gown while attending the final night of the Republican National Convention. The bright green gown was pleated and featured a red belt at the waist and had a high neck. The First Lady was seen escorting her husband POTUS Donald Trump down the White House steps to the podium in order to accept the Republican nomination for reelection. 

The dress had an A-line skirt and was cut off just above her ankles. Melania chose to leave her hair loose to fall around her shoulders. It is reported that the bright green sleeveless dress was designed by Valentino and sells for approximately $2,700, New York Post reported.

However, the choice of wardrobe was not necessarily well-received by all and many social media users mocked the outfit. One such user took to Twitter to share, "Was Melania's unusual color choice for her dress to distract from Trump's over-reliance on the banister as T descended from the WH steps & then walked in a bizarre manner (notice left leg) down the red carpet? Also, who is paying for this partisan rally? Please find out. Thx."

Another user added, "Dress like a green screen to embarrass Donald. Every fashion choice she makes is a message. A message she will elaborate on in her Tell All post-divorce autobiography." One user jokingly pointed out, "It an homage to Kermit."

"She needs to fire her stylist. This is not the same styles she has had previous. All these choices for RNC are??? The pink dress with black bow hangy thingys...and of course the Russian military Steve McQueen garb. And now lizard dress red shoes???" commented another user. 

Yet another user who echoed the same sentiments chimed in, "Green equals jealous! Maybe she’s mad that Ivanka gets to talk on the 4th night."

"Melania Trump couldn’t decide which dress to wear so she wore a green screen to let twitter choose for her," said a Twitter user. 

We had earlier reported that Trump's family members including his wife and children — Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, Ivanka Trump — were all seen at the RNC 2020 in order to rally for him as the presidential candidate. A strange moment was captured on camera between Melania and her step-daughter Ivanka Trump who is a senior adviser to her father. The two seemed to greet each other in an amicable fashion though a few seconds later Melania's face seemed to turn red with anger once she had turned away. The bizarre moment was captured on camera and went viral across social media. 

Melania's reaction left the internet buzzing with many taking to the comments section. One such user shared, "Me too. She gave her a look or said something to Melania that shocked and pissed her off. They better watch out or Melania will get pissed off enough to spill all the beans. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and all that!"

Another added, "She looked furious after Ivanka walked by. Must be trouble in plastic land. I mean. Look at the fury in her eyes."

Melania had recently made a speech from the renovated Rose Garden. During her speech, she said that she admired her husband’s straightforward approach with the public. "Whether you like it or not, you always know what he’s thinking," she said. 

Melania had said, "Donald, is a husband who supports me in all that I do. He has built an administration with an unprecedented number of women in leadership roles and has fostered an environment where the American people are always the priority. He welcomes different points of view and encourages thinking outside of the box. I know I speak for my husband and the family when I say we are so grateful that you have trusted him to be your president. And we will be honored to serve the incredible country for four more years."
