There is no dearth of drama in 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Jennifer Aydin's life. Things haven't been great between the housewife's parents. After her parents got into a huge fight, Jen intervened and brought her father home to stay with her, so that there is some space between her parents.

Jen's mother interpreted this move as her daughter taking her father's side. She was left feeling hurt, so she expressed the same to her daughter. She explained how her husband was emotionally abusive towards her and that she was in a loveless marriage for over four decades. Instead of empathizing with her mother or being patient with her, Jen began urging her mother to let go of the past and move on.

Jen's mother was trying to explain how she was married off at the age of 16 to a much older man, and soon they had to move to America and start life afresh. Jen's father was allegedly never affectionate towards his wife and was never around. So the responsibility of running the house and taking care of the children fell on her. Since divorce is apparently a huge taboo in the Turkish community, the couple couldn't even separate and lead their own lives.

Jen seemed fairly indifferent to it all and kept telling her mother that both her parents said nasty things to each other and that they should move on. It finally took the psychic medium Gina Marie to tell her to acknowledge and be receptive to her mother's pain and sorrows. When fans saw Jen being dismissive of her mother's abuse, they called out the housewife.

Fans slammed the housewife for telling her mother to simply let go of the pain and sorrow caused to her over the span of 48 years. A fan tweeted, "How can you expect your mother to just let go of 48 years of unhappiness? For fucks sake Jen. #RHONJ." Another said, "Jen is so nonchalant towards her mom's feelings. She's been unhappy for 48 years so she can't just let all of that go in 1 day. It's gonna take the time that she's entitled to. Fans also wondered why Jen wasn't paying any heed to her mother's cries for help. A fan commented, "Jen does not give her mom any credibility. I don’t get why she believes her dad but nothing that her mother says. #RHONJ." One more said, "Jen really needs to pay attention to her Mom. This woman is an amazing Grandmother & if she stayed back to see a brand new Grandchild because her husband was going.....Pay Attention Jen! This woman is broken & I am invested as to why #RHONJ."

Several fans were convinced that Jen was blatantly taking her father's side. A fan shared, "I feel Jen is on her father’s side. And I think it’s also important to listen to her mother. This woman is saying she gave this man 48 years of her life and she never been in love. This is so sad #RHONJ." Another said, "Yup! Jen is definitely on her dad’s side. It’s sad though cuz her mother raised her. Just because your dad came in from work at night to kiss her, doesn’t mean he was a good husband.
