Why did Jackie Goldschneider stop filming for 'RHONJ'? Here's the 'dramatic' reason behind her Season 11 absence
If the trailer of Season 11 of Bravo's hit reality show 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' is anything to go by, then we already know that the upcoming season will be anything but easy for Jackie Goldschneider. In the trailer, we see the housewives gossiping about Jackie's marriage and her husband, Evan Goldschneider. There are rumblings among the ladies that Evan is cheating on his wife.
So, when these whispers finally make their way to Jackie's ears, the housewife was understandably upset and angry with her co-stars. But turns out there's more to the story than what was shown in the trailer. Rumors of Jackie taking a leaf from her 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Denise Richards has also been doing rounds. Jackie reportedly stopped filming for 'RHONJ' for a brief period, similar to what Denise did in her last season on the show.

Jackie finally addressed these rumors, during an exclusive interview with LIT Entertainment News. When she was asked if the rumors of her stopping filming for the upcoming season of 'RHONJ' were true, the reality star confirmed it. She explained how the show films their real lives. She explained how she would have taken a step back and evaluated the situation before getting back, and that's exactly what she did during the filming too. “These shows are about our real lives right? I have a situation that I've never been in before in my entire life; something very dramatic and very trying. If you had an explosive fight with another woman, would you go on vacation with her the next day? I had to step back a little bit, because that was authentic to me, and that's what I would do in my real life, and the show is about my real life," Jackie said.
She added, "So yes, I took a step back and I had to evaluate, based on what was going on, whether this was the place for me anymore. It's really interesting to see how me and my husband together made the decision whether or not to come back, and really the way we got through everything. So yes, I did have to take a minute and just be with my family and evaluate whether this group of women was for me anymore.”
We can't wait to see how the other ladies reacted to Jackie pausing filming for a bit, and what exactly might have tipped off the housewife to make such an extreme decision.
'Real Housewives of New Jersey' is all set to premiere on Wednesday, February 17, at 9 pm ET/PT.
