'RHOSLC's Jen Shah slams 'unnamed' co-star for calling her son N-word, drops hints pointing to Jennie Nguyen
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: As Season 3 of Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' is about to drop, one of the cast members, Jen Shah, spoke out against one of her co-stars in an Instagram story posted on Monday, August 29. Without naming who it was, Jen dropped various hints on the person she accuses of called her son the "N word."
The story was captioned by Jen as "Let's play…Who did that?! #RHOSLC Edition." She describes the housewife as someone who donated four times to Ted Cruz's presidential campaign, and had once said there are "different types of Black people." According to E! News, Jen is talking about Jennie Nguyen, who was fired from the show in January over her controversial Facebook posts.

Among the many hints, Shah said that the cast member had advised her not to talk about her mental health. The TV personality also said that the person "called my son the 'n' word," and "said 'not to be racist or anything, but I like the big black one best.'"
Meanwhile, Nguyen was fired at the start of Season 3 after her old Facebook posts supporting the anti- BLM movement, anti-vax, and all lives matter memes resurfaced on the internet, with fans demanding for the network to fire the new housewife for her racist stance.
In a statement, the network acknowledged the delay in taking action against Nguyen and assured fans that they would make "more thoughtful casting decisions" in the future. "Bravo has ceased filming with Jennie Nguyen and she will no longer be a cast member on ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City'. We recognize we failed to take appropriate action once her offensive social media posts were brought to our attention. Moving forward, we will work to improve our processes to ensure we make better informed and more thoughtful casting decisions," the network corporation stated on its social media channels.
While filming for the latest season is over, a source told E! News that filming had resumed after Nguyen pleaded guilty in her federal fraud case on July 11. The source said, "There were no cameras in the courtroom, but production shot confessionals on the women's reactions that will likely be a part of Season 3." However, the source added that the additional filming did not include Nguyen, saying that the show "technically has wrapped with her and this is not a part of the production cycle."
The former 'RHOSLC' wife's guilty plea came a week before her case was set to go to trial, in which she was accused of being connected to an alleged telemarketing scheme that targeted the elderly. Her sentencing is set to take place on November 28 in New York City.
